An Extensive Real Estate Development Meeting Prolific Standards
Over the years, conventional real estate assets have been seen with a lot of respite among the
human population. It can be traced down to the trilogy of incremented comfort levels, ecstatic
construction, and prudent engineering. The construction levels associated with such ecstatic
projects have been among the major reasons as to why the elegance of such a real estate wonder is
so much visible. The real estate industry has been home to a lot of developments over the past
decade or so. As a matter of fact, the people associated with this sprawling and diverse industry
seemingly never run out of any options at all.

From a structural viewpoint, the condos can be briefly described as a mix between traditional
monuments featuring heritage and the modern skyscrapers found on NYC . Even though the
definition seems to be a bit too obnoxious but indeed it is perhaps the best way of appealing to the
common audience.
Some of the notable features of the Bennett condos on Bayview happen to be as follows:
They account for a better lifestyle infused with a lot of correspondent amenities necessary.
The construction is more of a hybrid than that of the conventional real estate projects and therefore,
they are more appealing to the common people in a visually enticing manner.
The locations of the project are in close proximity to all the fundamental amenities necessary to the
common man willing to lead a luxurious lifestyle.
The blend of a conventional real estate entity and a post modernist outlook seems to be a prudent
combination to give this project the high grading that it has been able to

`` Delusion Of Grandeur `` By Terry Ann Thaxton
Humans are social creatures. We identify ourselves through our community, loved ones, and those
who genuinely appreciate our presence. Our identity defines our personality traits, highlight social
roles. Those with disabilities are often confused about their identity because they are misunderstood
and stigmatized. Through the use of literature, one can empathize better with other people
especially those who are misunderstood by society. Disabled people are more likely to be
neglected and subjected to prejudice or discrimination. In Delusionof Grandeur , Terry Ann Thaxton,
talks about the struggle between Adam and his mother because of his disability. Adam struggles to
cope with his environment and finds himself isolated and misunderstood. Families ultimately suffer
but through their experience, they can learn some amazing lessons.
Adam in Delusion of Grandeur is terribly misunderstood. His mother tries everything in her
power to fix him. Taking care of someone like Adam can be strenuous and tiring. The day to day
strain of providing assistance can lead to exhaustion and fatigue. This can create a whole set of
issues that create emotional stress, guilt, anxiety, anger , and uncertainty about the future. At the
same time, caretaking responsibilities may lead to changed or abandoned career plans. Adam s
mother went as far as signing up for school so that she can monitor her son s behavior. Thaxton
writes, He agreed to take an art class, but only if I took it with him.

Shawshank Redemption Film Analysis
(Part I) Nicole Rafter identifies several stock characteristics that dominate the traditional film. First,
there is the convict buddy. In The Shawshank Redemption our innocent protagonist Andy is quickly
befriended by prison veteran, Red. Red s voice can be heard narrating his thoughts about his friend
Andy. As the story goes on, their relationship is further explored to the point that the last shot is
them reuniting. Common to traditional prisonfilms is a paternalistic warden, but this is not the case
in Shawshank Prison. The warden here is very greedy and immoral which is a general a
characteristic of more recent prison films. Another stock character is a brutish guard which we see
exemplified in Captain Byron Hadley. He beats a man to death in the first act of the film. Finally,
we have Andy, who is the young hero, or at least he is fairly young when he goes into prison. He is
innocent and thus exemplifies Rafter s stock character of having an unjustly accused protagonist.
Rafter also notes stock plots that often play out. In The Shawshank Redemption, the innocent hero
Andy escapes while simultaneously bringing condemnation on the unjust members of the prison.
This plot corresponds to one of Rafter s traditional prison plots (2006, 166). Lastly, there is the idea
of stock themes in traditional prison films. Again, The Shawshank Redemption falls in line with
Rafter s theme of the unjustly jailed hero fighting against the unfair system. Rafter writes, To
restore justice,

Comparative Analysis Of Adaptive Threshold Based Spectrum...
Comparative Analysis of Adaptive Threshold Based Spectrum Sensing Techniques in Cognitive
Radio Networks
Abstract: In the last two decades, the number of wireless communication users and its applications
increasing rapidly. With this rapid growth there exists spectrum scarcity. One of the best solutions
to avoid spectrum scarcity is cognitive radio with its dynamic spectrum sensing. Cognitive radio is
a promising technology, which is used to sense the unused spectrum in an appropriate manner.
Various methods have been proposed in the past, such as energy detection, matched filterand so on
[1 6 7]. Different techniques serve different purpose based on their advantages and disadvantages.
In this paper, the author suggests an approach of dynamic threshold to increase the probability
detection of spectrum sensing. Spectrum sensing using energy detection, matched filter detectors
based on fixed threshold and dynamic threshold are simulated using MATLAB. The performance of
energy detection, matched filter detector is compared by plotting probability detection versus
signal to noise ratio graph.
Keywords: Spectrum Sensing, Cognitive Radio, Wireless Communication, Energy Detection,
Matched Filter, Probability Detection and Threshold.
I. Introduction: The recent trend in cognitive radio related research has altered s great of deal of
interest in spectrum sensing and detection of radio users in the environment [5]. In general, the

Metabolic Acidosis Research Paper
Metabolic acidosis happens when the blood becomes too acidic. It can happen in infants, children,
and adults for many different reasons. Metabolic acidosis may range from mild to severe, or even
life threatening.
CAUSES
Metabolic acidosis happens as a result of one of the following:
The body produces too much acid.
You consume a toxic substance that increases the acid content in the blood.
The body loses an important element, such as bicarbonate, which helps to balance acid.
The kidneys do not remove enough acid from the body.
There are many causes. Metabolic acidosis can be brought on by chronic or life threatening
conditions, such as:
Diabetes.
Kidney disease or failure.
Liver failure.
Seizures.
Diarrhea. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

PREVENTION
To prevent metabolic acidosis in the future, follow these guidelines:
Manage chronic conditions. Take your medicines as directed. Failure to take certain medicines, or
taking too much of them, can predispose you to acidosis.
Avoid exposure to poisons and toxins.
Limit alcohol intake.
Drink enough water and fluids to keep your urine clear or pale yellow.
Understand your medicines and supplements, and their possible side effects.

A Study Of Rauschenberg s Erased De Kooning Drawing
A Study of Rauschenberg s Erased de Kooning Drawing
In 1953, Robert Rauschenberg had the idea of adding drawing to his All White Series. However,
drawing on these paintings, or anywhere, would defeat the purpose of this series, and so he
came to the conclusion that the only way he could achieve this would be through erasure. He
began experimenting with his own drawings, but still being a young artist it he didn t think it
would be considered art. For his idea to work, he thought, it had to be art that he erased. Having
admiration and respect for artist Willem de Kooning, Rauschenberg decided to buy a bottle of
Jack Daniels, and go to his house. Rauschenberg explained to de Kooning his idea, and asked if
he could use a drawing of his. Reluctant, de Kooning agreed, only because he understood the idea.
After looking through his portfolios, de Kooning handed Rauschenberg a drawing that he would
miss, and that was almost impossible to erase. A month later, Rauschenberg successfully erased
de Kooning s drawing, and with the help of Jasper Johns, titled the piece in ink, and framed it.
Robert Rauschenberg s Erased de Kooning Drawing can be seen as either a minimalist piece or
conceptual piece. Through a clearer understanding of both movements, the aim of this essay is to
show how this piece could be seen as a minimal piece or a conceptual piece, and to see which
movement it leans more towards.
Minimalism has been described as the last of modernist styles and thus a

The Genetic Mutation Fragile X Syndrome Essay
The genetic mutation Fragile X syndrome is the most commonly inherited form of intellectual
disability. Because the disease was first studied in 1943 by British physician James Purdon Martin
and British human geneticist named Julia Bell, Fragile X is also referred to as Martin Bell
syndrome. Though it was not until 1969 that scientist Herbert Lubs discovered what exactly causes
Fragile X syndrome. He explained that those who obtain the mutation will possess an X
chromosome with an unusual gap. The gap located on the chromosome is called a fragile site,
which is where the name originates from. Fragile X is genetically passed down to offspring, so
researchers are striving to improve the symptoms in hopes that they can create a better future for
the victims. Genetic mutations are lifelong variances in DNAsequences. The majority of disease
causing gene mutations are unusual in the overall population. The two major classifications of gene
mutations are germinal and somatic mutations. Germinal mutations are immediately inherited from
a parent, and they will affect every single cell. If the DNA from the sperm or egg cell contains a
mutation, the resulting fertilized egg also inherits the mutation. Somatic mutations occur by
environmental factors or when an error appears during DNA replication. Unlike germinal
mutations, a somatic mutation only affects the mutated cells. Mutations typically have a negative
connotation; however, they are not always harmful,

Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge Music Vs. Grease
Bollywood and American Musical
Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge
Music by Jatin Lalit, Lalit Pandin vs Grease
Musical Score: Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey
Bollywood took the world by storm several years ago. Among the most viewed theater releases
to date, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge struck a fancy with many movie goers as a feel good
feature enticing them to Come...fall in love . Musically, Dilwale contains a nearly wall to wall
score with purposely written lyrics to help relay the story. Following the subtitles proved a bit
daunting and the lyrics did not always seem to fit with the musical notation, but there was definite
expertise in moving the story along with each number. Moreover, the cinematography allowed for
indulgence in panoramic ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Their brief two month encounter resulted in the same arousal of young love that ended when the
school bells beckoned. But, such as their counterparts in Dilwale, Sandy and Danny magically
found their way back to each other and the film allowed us to experience their journey with more of
the same type of buoyant, spirited music and dance as in the aforementioned film. Again, a nearly
wall to wall score included some original hits from the 50s helping to set the scene, as well as
melodies written especially for the movie in the same style, all of which helped to tell the story
over the course of a school year. Much to my bewilderment, when viewing Grease I found that
the songs were also lip synced and though the actual stars did their own singing, it too suffered in
the technical department plus the dancing fell short just as in Dilwale, without much
syncopation between music and movement. I did not notice this when I was 18? Much like
Dilwale, there were a generous number of original scores for Grease, including Greased
Lighting by Barry Gibb, and a cameo by Frankie Avalon, as well as the iconic Sha Na Na playing
diegetic music at the school dance, all of which were in the popular genre of the 50s. Just as we
saw in Dilwale, the song repertoire had lyrics that moved the dialogue along and helped to play
out the difficulties of being in love at such a young age, however, along that vein the stories were
dissimilar due to the fact that in America, dating and falling in love is part of a rite of passage as
is choosing who we fall in love. With regard to the Indian culture, even in the diasporas of today, it
can be seen that many still cling to the notion that the father chooses whom his daughter will wed.
Both films incorporated dance numbers with similarities as well, and even though the music was

Mrs Sommers And Kate Chopin Comparative Essay
First of all, John Steinbeck, Kari Strutt as well as Kate Chopin succeeds to create an ideal main
character in each short story. They were invented to be linked with the feminism perception. These
fictional women struggle, as the feminists of the time struggled, to escape the discrimination. When
we analyze closely, the lives of these ladies represent the reality of the pass.
For example in Chopin s short story, A Pair of Silk Stocking, Mrs. Sommers is a wife and
mother struggling with the inequality in the society. She tries to live by the community
principle, where she has to be a selfless person. That is the way women were suppose to act.
Their children and husband were the priority. Their needs and desires weren t taken in
consideration. Mrs. Sommers felt like she had no value. At a certain point of her life, she received
an enormous amount of money. As a mother, she plans to spend the cash on her family. Instead,
Mrs. Sommers indulges herself with material such as shoes and gloves. All of this brought her a
feeling of importance such as she had not enjoyed for years. ... Show more content on

Even if these short stories are published in different time, the development of the main character is
similar. They go trough the comparable problem. The men in their lives put them down. In the life
of Kari, her father and her husband abandon her. Indeed, her father doesn t show up to her
wedding. These actions bring sadness to this young lady. She [feels] lonely and afraid. Later, Kari s
husband cheats on her, which is really unfortunate. These men mistreat her. They don t take this
woman in consideration. Kari gets fed up with the situation, and divorced Ian s father . This is an
option that Mrs. Sommers and Elisa didn t have in their time. It is necessary to note that Kari is a
character created in a different era. Women fought and gain a little bit of power. That is the reason
why Strutt s character can

The Story of an Hour
In The Story of an Hour, Kate Chopin suggests that in certain scenarios, the death of a loved one
may be a blessing in disguise. Possible situations may include an abusive relationship, or an
unhappy marriage, as the story suggests. Although the circumstances throughout the story might
lead the reader to believe that Louise s husband s death would cause her great pain, ironically,
when she hears the news, she feels a sense of euphoria. This suggests that death may not always
cause agony. Louise s characteristics add to the theme of this story in several ways. One of her
characteristics is her youth. This characteristic is important because it is symbolic of a fresh, new
start at her life of freedom due to the death of her husband.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

But she actually dies because her free life has come to a sudden stop, And is heart broken that
she will not be able to live her life as she hoped she could, alone. Another conflict in this story is
the role of the wife versus the role of the husband. For instance, Louise struggled with her
feelings about her marriage for years. Louise thinks what could love, the unsolved mystery,
count for in face of this possession of self assertion which she suddenly recognized as the
strongest impulse of her being. She admits that she did love Brently, but often she did not. On
the other hand, the story suggests that Brently was completely content in the marriage and
assumed that Louise was too. This conflict is reflected in Louise s internal struggle. When she
realizes that Brently is alive, she must die. This is the only way she can win the freedom she
was struggling for within herself. She dies because he is alive, he is ultimately responsible for
her death. For one blessed hour, she believes Henry dead, and in her own mind she sets about
rebuilding her future, imagining her infinite possibilities; when he arrives at home safe and
sound, however, Louise drops dead of a heart attack. Her family assumes, of course, that the shock
of seeing Henry alive after believing him to be dead was too much for her; but Chopin implies
otherwise. It seems more likely that

Life of Eva Braun Eva Braun was one of Hitler s strongest supporters and played an interesting

The Problem Of A Stock Trading System Based On Prediction...
Executive Summary
The dissertation project addresses the problem of trying to build a stock trading system based
on prediction models obtained with daily stock quotes data. We will apply different models to
predict the returns of IBM stocks at the New York Stock Exchange. These predictions will be
used together with a trading rule that will generate buy and sell signals. This chapter addresses
several new data mining issues: (1) how to use R to analyze data stored in a database; (2) how to
handle prediction problems where there is a time ordering among training cases (usually known as a
time series); (3) and the consequences of wanting to translate model predictions into actions.
3.1 Problem description and objectives
Stock market trading is an application domain with a big potential for data mining.
In effect, the existence of an enormous amount of historical data suggests that data mining can
provide a competitive advantage over human inspection of this data. On the other hand there are
authors claiming that the markets adapt so rapidly in terms of price adjustments that there is no
space to obtain profits in a consistent way. This is usually known as the efficient markets hypothesis.
This theory has been successively replaced by more relaxed versions that leave some space for
trading opportunities.
The general goal of stock trading is to maintain a portfolio of stocks based on buy and sell orders.
The long term objective is to achieve as much profit as possible from these

The Freedom Of Speech And Worship Essay
During the Second World War, there was a change in equality within the United States of America.
These changes did not take place until after Franklin D. Roosevelt wrote a famous speech that
closely looked at the essential freedoms and rights of each person in the world, the Four Freedoms.
Freedom of speech and worship, along with freedom from want and fear, were the topics of this
great speech. People compared Roosevelt s speech to some of the other more influential and well
known proclamations known during that era: including the Emancipation Proclamation, the Magna
Carta, and even the Ten Commandments. The power and confidence this address held spread
beyond the United Statesjust as Roosevelt hoped, giving other nations an example of what could be
if there was peace. The Four Freedomsspeech became a universal proclamation that granted and
encouraged freedom everywhere, even while denying those same human rights to American citizens.
Freedom of speech and worship are two rights in which most people are accustomed to. As they
are laid out in the first amendment of the Constitution, any citizen has the right to speak their
mind and worship how they would like. Freedom from want describes the desire to be
economically secure in every nation which was an important factor coming out the Great
Depression. The last essential right is the freedom of fear, in which one can live their life without
fear of violence or hatred against them. Roosevelt s Four Freedoms speech

The Cold War And Its Effects Of The Cold War

After the World War II, the military and political tension started between two powers of Eastern
Bloc (Soviet Union and its allies in the Warsaw pact) and Western Bloc (The United States and

Analysis Of The Midsummer Eve
As Cassandra matures, she begins to change or question her worldview. When she begins writing,
the tone is matter of fact. She is writing as events are happening: I write this sitting in the kitchen
sink (1). After meeting the Cottons, her outlook on life changes drastically. Because of this, her
writing changes again to reflect a more hopeful attitude. Her writing methods also change from
writing events as they happened, to reflecting on events and writing them much later. Midsummer
Eve is where this elated mood reaches a climax. After this section, she becomes extremely
depressed, changing her character and writing methods once more. This change in tone
throughout the book, especially in the Midsummer Eve and church sections, signifies Cassandra
s coming of age. Midsummer Eve is an extremely important day to Cassandra When Cassandra
opens the section on page 199 she says, Is it wrong of me to feel so happy? The entire tone sets
the scene for a serene, wonderful day full of delight. The word choice is light and airy: My lovely
day began when the sun rose (199). The reader has no doubt that Cassandra feels at one with
herself while reciting these familiar pagan rituals. She even says the feelingwas thrilling (205.) The
tone on page 236 is extremely different from this beautiful, sunny Midsummer Eve. Because
Cassandra is distraught, the entire tone of the book changes. This tone only wavers slightly when
Simon comes out of the fog, paralleling him with the devil

However, advancements in Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs) provide a new vital
option for the efficient implementation of DSP algorithms. The main goal of project is to design
multiplier less and high speed digital filters to design DWT. The convolution and lifting based
approach posses hardware complexity due to multiplier and long critical paths. The Distributed
arithmetic architecture is implemented to achieve multiplier less computation in DWT filtering,
it is based on Look up table approach, which may lead to a reduction of power consumption and
the hardware complexity. DA is basically a bit serial computational operation that forms an inner
product of a pair of vectors in a single direct step. To speed up the process the parallel DA is
implemented. In the parallel implementation, the input is applied sample by sample in a bit parallel
form.

A Brief Note On Unemployment And Unemployment Rate
There are three major types of unemployment, including frictional unemployment, structural
unemployment and cyclical unemployment. Frictional unemployment is the short term
unemployment arising from matching workers with jobs. Structural unemployment is because of
more people are seeking for jobs in a particular labor market than there are jobs available at the
current wage rate. Cyclical unemployment is due to the business cycle. When an economy goes
into a recession, demand for most goods and services decline, and so firms do not require as much
labor to produce it. Although some unemployment is normal and even in the booming economics,
zero unemployment is not feasible, the government need to take every efforts to reduce the
unemployment rate. As there are different types of unemployment, different policy measures are
required to reduce the unemployment rate.
In order to reduce unemployment rate, the most important thing is find the resolve to stimulate
aggregate demand. When there is in the booming economics, more jobs are available. Which means
greater growth invites higher levels of employment.
Frictional unemployment is mainly caused by information asymmetry. In labour market, the
information cannot spread between employers and employees symmetrically and effectively. To
reduce frictional unemployment, the time of seeking job must be shorten. The government should
make the market information quickly and effectively. What is more, the economy change makes

The following are equally important reasons why Stalin was able to hold onto power in the Soviet
Union:
The purges and show trials
The secret police
Propaganda and the cult of personality
Stalin s economic policies.
Explain how far you agree with this statement.
Stalin used to methods to hold onto power in the Soviet Union these were fear / coercion and
persuasion / consent. If people were not persuaded by Stalin s personality and economic policies
they would be scared into supporting him.
From the outset Stalin was particularly aware of his image and the importance and power of
propaganda. He came to power partly as a result of his creation of a cult of Leninism and by ...

An example was the first of the great show trials where sixteen old Bolsheviks and hero s of the
civil war including Kamenev and Zinoveiv were but on trial accused of being directly responsible
for the assassination of Kirov, a popular leading Communist, in 1934. Although Historians believe
it is more likely that Stalin was responsible for the murder and extremely unlikely that Zinoveiv or
Kamenev had anything to do with it. They all confessed to their crimes.
Stalin propagated an image of himself as the father / protector of the nation with posters and
statues of himself in many Russian town and cities. He also ruthlessly controlled the media to
ensure that the Russian people were only given such information as he saw fit. An example of this
is the fact that Trotsky s vehement criticisms of Stalin from the various countries he lived in abroad
were kept from the Russia people and indeed Trotsky who had been true hero of the revolution
was blamed by Stalin for much of Russia s problems at the time. Trotsky is also a good example
of Stalin s use of terror when propaganda alone would not succeed since ultimately unable to silence
Trotsky in another way Stalin had him assassinated.

The Outsiders By Francis Coppola
The Outsiders a film directed by Francis Coppola s is about two social groups of teenagers who
attends the same high school and live in the same town. Although both two social groups live in
the same area, they live a completely different life. A group known as the South Side Socials
(aka socs ), are the upper class teenagers, while the Greasers, are the less fortunate kids, who just
so happen to live on the wrong side of town. These two social groups have had a conflict against
one another for several years, but on one specific evening, this rivalry turns deadly as one of the
greasers, Johnny, stabs and murders a socs. Due to the passing of one of the Socs, the Socs tried
to avenge the death of their friend, while the greasers tried to get the town to comprehend that
the Socs were also at fault during that conflict. The Outsider is an exceptional film depicting
how social groups can explain our behavior, and how deviance and crime are observed in relation
to our social group. A social group is defined as a group of two or more people who interact
frequently with one another, shares a portion sense of belonging and have a sensation of
interdependence. As seen in the film, both the Socs and the greasers care deeply for each
associate of the corresponding group. Towards the end of the film, as Johnny is being hospitalized
for severe burns, Pony Boy expresses himself by stating the fact that things would be different if he
pass away. Over the years the Greasers formed

Essay On Pascal s Wager
In this essay I will discuss the ontological problem of the existence of God and discuss Pascal s
Wager and how it solves the issue. The problem with the proof of the existence of God is that it
is not something we will know for sure until our dying day. We can speculate and bet on his
existence and feel his presence but at this point it is just that, only a bet. This wager is famous for
opening up minds to look at the problem in a bigger picture. The problem with the existence of
God is not in the answer but instead in the question. Pascal is responsible for refocusing this
discussion on God to the bigger problem of the existential context of humanlife. In a way this can
all be broken down to very black and white terms Either God is or he is not. But upon looking
further we realize that this is a much bigger issue with many grey areas than something as simple
as is or is not . Pascal spends much of his argument refocusing discussion and putting appropriate
context on different situations. The question of God is a much more pressing question in relation
to human mortality. We are much more inclined to draw toward or push away from faith when we
are facing unfavorable situations out of our control. We tend to look harder at the meaning of life
and our moral values when we are found staring death straight in the... Show more content on

Terry Malloy On The Waterfront Essay
When 43 year old director Elia Kazan was called to the stage in the House of Un American
Activities, he did something that would change his career forever. He testified as a friendly witness
which resulted in hatred from many of his colleagues. In 1954, two years after his testimony, Kazan
produced On the Waterfront. Being one of his most famous works, On the Waterfront was an instant
success, winning an abundance of awards and solidifying Kazan as one of the best and most
influential directors of the early filmmaking era. Terry Malloy, the movies main character, was a
middle aged shore man who was caught up with the wrong group of people, which resulted in
him being part of a mob hit. Throughout this film, Malloy battled his own self conscious about
him being a part of the killing of Joey Doyle, all the while being in a relationship with Edie

that pointed directly to the mob being guilty of the killing. At the end of the movie, Terry confronts

Ntroduction.Recently, The Student Run Newspaper Published
ntroduction Recently, the student run newspaper published their daily edition with many hasty
stories about students, staff, and faculty. The April Fools edition was meant to be a comedic
spoof on campus activities, however, this year it was not so. The students wrote about the
Renaissance club who attacked a group of Chinese students, a soccer coach who was arrested for
domestic violence and a faculty member who was a militant member of a secret society. None of
the stories are true. Many of the key actors are showing their power through disgruntled messages.

This is monetarily consuming. Departments who are feeling the affect of the budget reductions
may feel bitter towards the newspaper. The other departments have needs that they feel are more
important, for example, the graduate student department. They are having to cut funds to their
graduate students and yet the newspaper is fully operational. This is also a display of conflicting
resources. The university has a diminishing budget. Many groups on campus have been affected by
this and are claiming whatever power they have left to keep their remaining budget. If one group
makes a mistake and the other has a chance to claim some of their budget, they surely will. This
changes the dynamic that departments have with each other.
The office of Residential Life and the Graduate School have both expressed their concern for their
international student s safety. This is a problem for our university reputation. If news spreads about
the uncomfort students feel, even in response to a fake article, it could threaten our potential
student s outlook on our university. The two departments are reinforcing the idea because they have
not calmed the fire. Instead of going directly to the source of the articles, they have chosen to turn
to a higher department to explain their grievances which creates a conflict between the newspaper
and the other two departments.
Lastly, the NCAA has expressed their distaste in regards to their

2.3 John Boyd s Discourse
To succeed and grow in a diverse uncertain and constant changing world that surrounds us, we need
to make decisive decisions ourselves those many practices we have to meet the exigencies of that
world. The discourse thus consists of 5 sections:
1. Pattern of Conflict consists of thoughts and actions for winning and losing in a very competitive
environment.
2. The Strategic Game of ? also, ? stresses the different mental turns and twist that we deal with to

3. Organic Design for Command and Control surfaces the certain plans or actions that allow
cooperation in unpredictable, competitive, quick moving situations.
4. Destruction and Creation lays out in conceptual however graphic design the routes by which we
develop mental concepts to understand and cope to our surroundings;
5. Revelation makes noticeable the metaphorical message that streams from this Discourse
As one continues from Patterns through Organic Design , Strategic Game , and Destruction and

to the more abstract. In this sense, one

Redemption Essay
The literal definition of the word redemption is the act, process, or an instance of redeeming
(forgiven). When I as a human being think of redemption I think of it as a way to accept, forgive
and move on after an instance of extreme, usually emotional, infliction. When we think of this in
terms of prison, humans are put into isolation where they are given ample time to logically think
of these trespasses and how they are paying for it with their lives. At the same time these people
are doing very manual labor while getting paid very little in order to redeem themselves to
hopefully regain some rank again in society. In life where most of us live outside walls redemption

When I myself am witness to acts of injustice my first reaction is usually anger, frustration which
is then followed by a very vocal complaint. The same reactions come about when I myself am put
under circumstances of injustice and I can only hope, but am not certain, that this is something
regularly occurs with humans in general. I would have to say that some of the factors that
contribute to the ways that I respond to injustice would be feelings that had occurred as a child
when put into unjust situations as well as knowledge that I was given while growing up in both
educational institutions as well as living in general. While I watched the movie Shawshank
Redemption I witness an idea developed mainly by Stephen King that basically gave me hope
by helping me see that due to what I call karma, the people that are exaggerating unjust behavior
will eventually get what is coming to them. This is displayed well by the showing of all the
ignorant behavior put on by the warden and what happened to him in the end. In our society
taking away a persons freedom is considered justice because at this point these people do not have
a choice. The choices that they have made so far have only gotten them into trouble, now they have
given that up and are subjected to be treated basically like a slave. Solitary confinement is
considered the most severe punishment that we can inflict in our justice system as

is almost certain that it first took place in Eurasia, through the nomadic Aryan tribes, around the
Black and Caspian Seas. It is from this point in the history of the world that the existence of truly
wild horses begins to decline; their place taken by domestic stock. Horses are located all over

exclusively throughout Alex Cross s family. Much of the book is centered around this theme, often

Analysis Of Yahweh Summons Moses
In the two versions of the story Yahweh summons Moses , the bulk of the story remains constant.
In both iterations, Moses is called by Yahweh to speak to Pharaoh on behalf of the enslaved
Israelites. However, there are many key differences in tone and character development that
distinguish the two stories. In the JE version, the text starts with an angel of the Lord appearing to
Mosesfrom within a burning bush. This imagery is noticeable absent from the P version of the
text. This reflects the priestly interests in the P iteration because in P stories, only priests are
able to act as intermediates between man and the divine. Thus, the fantastical image of the
burning bush in JE is eschewed. Instead, the P version shows the Lod communicating directly
with Moses. The next major difference between the sources is in the substance of the Lord s
initial message to Moses. In the JE source, the focus is on rescuing the Israelites from Egypt to
bring them to a land flowing with milk and honey (Exodus 3:8). In contrast, the P source depicts
the Lord rescuing his people and [redeeming them] with an outstretched arm and with tremendous
judgements (Exodus 6:6). In the JE source, the Lord is depicted as a more merciful and human
Lord who delivers the people into a great land. In the P source, the Lord is characterized as
detached. The narrative greatly emphasizes the Lord s divine power. Additionally, the P source
repeats the phrase I am YHWH which further stresses the cosmic

Millionaire Next Door Analysis
The Millionaire Next Door by Thomas J. Stanley and William D. Danko clarifies the principal
reasons why a few people are tycoons and others are most certainly not. As opposed to prevalent
suspicion, most moguls are extremely parsimonious and are not hyperconsumers. They don t have
costly, extravagance, remote autos, they have humble homes in working class neighborhoods, and
they spending plan for every one of their costs. Most tycoons live well beneath their methods. That
is definitely why they are moguls. The vast majority who procure high salaries are not rich, and
they neglect to gather any enduring riches. They spend their cash as quick as they procure it.
Keeping in mind the end goal to gather riches, the creators propose that individuals need to play

how the normal individual gains riches through seven shared factors.
The primary shared factor is to live well beneath your methods. As expressed some time recently,
most moguls are extremely economical. They know how much cash they have and where each
penny of it is spent. They make a month to month or yearly spending plan or both. Generally,
they try to do they say others should do and pass these qualities onto their kids. They spare cash
and realize what it takes to have the capacity to resign serenely. They don t live extravagant ways

The Similarities Between Classical Music and Ellington s Jazz
One of the greatest tragedies in the 20th century can be seen in the debasing of the Jazz genre as
a unworthy equal to it s predecessor, European Classical music. This can be seen in various
statements about Jazz, such as Boris Gibalin commit, The Jazz Mania has taken on the character of
a lingering illness and must be cured by means of forceful intervention. 1 This conflict can be traced
through out the history of Jazz, as Classical composers have relatively disregarded this new type of
music. Before Duke Ellington s Cotton Club performances, Jazz play on the radio was delegated
for late night audience only. This sub culture treatment has led many critics to disregard the Jazz
movement as a dance craze, or unsuccessful recreations... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
To most people the infusion of African tonality into Duke Ellington s music to create Negro art ,
questions the connection between European music and Jazz. Here Constant Lambert responds to
this.
If anyone doubts the essential element of European sophistication in Jazz, it is a simple matter
for his to compare a typical piece of Jazz, such as Duke Ellington Swampy River, first with a
lyric by Grieg and then with a record of African music. It must be clear to even the most prejudiced

Little Ice Age Analysis
The reading states that there were three theories that scientists proposed to be what caused the little
ice age, and provides three reasons of support. However, the professor opposes this by saying

of this exceptional student.
The special education history and individual education plan in this case study will focus on a
fourteen year old freshman that has been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD),

Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and a Speech Impairment. The family stated that they
were made aware of the possibility of disabilities when the student was in sixth grade. According
to her current case manager, her family was very involved in her education and there appeared to

Some of the notable features of the Bennett condos on Bayview happen to be as follows: They account for a better lifestyle infused with a lot of correspondent amenities necessary. The construction is more of a hybrid than that of the conventional real estate projects and therefore, they are more appealing to the common people in a visually enticing manner. The locations of the project are in close proximity to all the fundamental amenities necessary to the common man willing to lead a luxurious lifestyle. • 3. `` Delusion Of Grandeur `` By Terry Ann Thaxton Humans are social creatures. We identify ourselves through our community, loved ones, and those who genuinely appreciate our presence. Our identity defines our personality traits, highlight social roles. Those with disabilities are often confused about their identity because they are misunderstood and stigmatized. Through the use of literature, one can empathize better with other people especially those who are misunderstood by society. Disabled people are more likely to be neglected and subjected to prejudice or discrimination. In Delusionof Grandeur , Terry Ann Thaxton, talks about the struggle between Adam and his mother because of his disability. • 6. Shawshank Redemption Film Analysis (Part I) Nicole Rafter identifies several stock characteristics that dominate the traditional film. First, there is the convict buddy. In The Shawshank Redemption our innocent protagonist Andy is quickly befriended by prison veteran, Red. Red s voice can be heard narrating his thoughts about his friend Andy. As the story goes on, their relationship is further explored to the point that the last shot is them reuniting. Common to traditional prisonfilms is a paternalistic warden, but this is not the case in Shawshank Prison. The warden here is very greedy and immoral which is a general a characteristic of more recent prison films. Another stock character is a brutish guard which we see exemplified in Captain Byron Hadley. He beats a man to death in the first act of the film. Finally, we have Andy, who is the young hero, or at least he is fairly young when he goes into prison. He is innocent and thus exemplifies Rafter s stock character of having an unjustly accused protagonist. Rafter also notes stock plots that often play out. In The Shawshank Redemption, the innocent hero Andy escapes while simultaneously bringing condemnation on the unjust members of the prison. This plot corresponds to one of Rafter s traditional prison plots (2006, 166). Lastly, there is the idea of stock themes in traditional prison films. Again, The Shawshank Redemption falls in line with Rafter s theme of the unjustly jailed hero fighting against the unfair system. Rafter writes, To restore justice, ... Comparative Analysis of Adaptive Threshold Based Spectrum Sensing Techniques in Cognitive Radio Networks Abstract: In the last two decades, the number of wireless communication users and its applications increasing rapidly. With this rapid growth there exists spectrum scarcity. One of the best solutions to avoid spectrum scarcity is cognitive radio with its dynamic spectrum sensing. Cognitive radio is a promising technology, which is used to sense the unused spectrum in an appropriate manner. Various methods have been proposed in the past, such as energy detection, matched filterand so on [1 6 7]. Different techniques serve different purpose based on their advantages and disadvantages. In this paper, the author suggests an approach of dynamic threshold to increase the probability detection of spectrum sensing. Spectrum sensing using energy detection, matched filter detectors based on fixed threshold and dynamic threshold are simulated using MATLAB. The performance of energy detection, matched filter detector is compared by plotting probability detection versus signal to noise ratio graph. Keywords: Spectrum Sensing, Cognitive Radio, Wireless Communication, Energy Detection, Matched Filter, Probability Detection and Threshold. I. • 11. A Study Of Rauschenberg s Erased De Kooning Drawing A Study of Rauschenberg s Erased de Kooning Drawing In 1953, Robert Rauschenberg had the idea of adding drawing to his All White Series. However, drawing on these paintings, or anywhere, would defeat the purpose of this series, and so he came to the conclusion that the only way he could achieve this would be through erasure. He began experimenting with his own drawings, but still being a young artist it he didn t think it would be considered art. For his idea to work, he thought, it had to be art that he erased. Having admiration and respect for artist Willem de Kooning, Rauschenberg decided to buy a bottle of Jack Daniels, and go to his house. Rauschenberg explained to de Kooning his idea, and asked if he could use a drawing of his. Reluctant, de Kooning agreed, only because he understood the idea. After looking through his portfolios, de Kooning handed Rauschenberg a drawing that he would miss, and that was almost impossible to erase. A month later, Rauschenberg successfully erased de Kooning s drawing, and with the help of Jasper Johns, titled the piece in ink, and framed it. Robert Rauschenberg s Erased de Kooning Drawing can be seen as either a minimalist piece or conceptual piece. Through a clearer understanding of both movements, the aim of this essay is to show how this piece could be seen as a minimal piece or a conceptual piece, and to see which movement it leans more towards. • 12. The Genetic Mutation Fragile X Syndrome Essay The genetic mutation Fragile X syndrome is the most commonly inherited form of intellectual disability. Because the disease was first studied in 1943 by British physician James Purdon Martin and British human geneticist named Julia Bell, Fragile X is also referred to as Martin Bell syndrome. Though it was not until 1969 that scientist Herbert Lubs discovered what exactly causes Fragile X syndrome. He explained that those who obtain the mutation will possess an X chromosome with an unusual gap. The gap located on the chromosome is called a fragile site, which is where the name originates from. Fragile X is genetically passed down to offspring, so researchers are striving to improve the symptoms in hopes that they can create a better future for the victims. Genetic mutations are lifelong variances in DNAsequences. The majority of disease causing gene mutations are unusual in the overall population. The two major classifications of gene mutations are germinal and somatic mutations. Germinal mutations are immediately inherited from a parent, and they will affect every single cell. If the DNA from the sperm or egg cell contains a mutation, the resulting fertilized egg also inherits the mutation. Somatic mutations occur by environmental factors or when an error appears during DNA replication. Unlike germinal mutations, a somatic mutation only affects the mutated cells. Mutations typically have a negative connotation; however, they are not always harmful, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

But, such as their counterparts in Dilwale, Sandy and Danny magically found their way back to each other and the film allowed us to experience their journey with more of the same type of buoyant, spirited music and dance as in the aforementioned film. Again, a nearly wall to wall score included some original hits from the 50s helping to set the scene, as well as melodies written especially for the movie in the same style, all of which helped to tell the story over the course of a school year. Much to my bewilderment, when viewing Grease I found that the songs were also lip synced and though the actual stars did their own singing, it too suffered in the technical department plus the dancing fell short just as in Dilwale, without much syncopation between music and movement. I did not notice this when I was 18? Much like Dilwale, there were a generous number of original scores for Grease, including Greased Lighting by Barry Gibb, and a cameo by Frankie Avalon, as well as the iconic Sha Na Na playing diegetic music at the school dance, all of which were in the popular genre of the 50s. Just as we saw in Dilwale, the song repertoire had lyrics that moved the dialogue along and helped to play out the difficulties of being in love at such a young age, however, along that vein the stories were dissimilar due to the fact that in America, dating and falling in love is part of a rite of passage as is choosing who we fall in love. With regard to the Indian culture, even in the diasporas of today, it can be seen that many still cling to the notion that the father chooses whom his daughter will wed. Possible situations may include an abusive relationship, or an unhappy marriage, as the story suggests. But she actually dies because her free life has come to a sudden stop, And is heart broken that she will not be able to live her life as she hoped she could, alone. Another conflict in this story is the role of the wife versus the role of the husband. For instance, Louise struggled with her feelings about her marriage for years. Louise thinks what could love, the unsolved mystery, count for in face of this possession of self assertion which she suddenly recognized as the strongest impulse of her being. She admits that she did love Brently, but often she did not. On the other hand, the story suggests that Brently was completely content in the marriage and assumed that Louise was too. This conflict is reflected in Louise s internal struggle. When she realizes that Brently is alive, she must die. This is the only way she can win the freedom she was struggling for within herself. She dies because he is alive, he is ultimately responsible for her death. For one blessed hour, she believes Henry dead, and in her own mind she sets about rebuilding her future, imagining her infinite possibilities; when he arrives at home safe and sound, however, Louise drops dead of a heart attack. Her family assumes, of course, that the shock of seeing Henry alive after believing him to be dead was too much for her; but Chopin implies otherwise. It seems more likely that ... Executive Summary The dissertation project addresses the problem of trying to build a stock trading system based on prediction models obtained with daily stock quotes data. We will apply different models to predict the returns of IBM stocks at the New York Stock Exchange. These predictions will be used together with a trading rule that will generate buy and sell signals. This chapter addresses several new data mining issues: (1) how to use R to analyze data stored in a database; (2) how to handle prediction problems where there is a time ordering among training cases (usually known as a time series); (3) and the consequences of wanting to translate model predictions into actions. 3.1 Problem description and objectives Stock market trading is an application domain with a big potential for data mining. In effect, the existence of an enormous amount of historical data suggests that data mining can provide a competitive advantage over human inspection of this data. On the other hand there are authors claiming that the markets adapt so rapidly in terms of price adjustments that there is no space to obtain profits in a consistent way. This is usually known as the efficient markets hypothesis. This theory has been successively replaced by more relaxed versions that leave some space for trading opportunities. The general goal of stock trading is to maintain a portfolio of stocks based on buy and sell orders. The long term objective is to achieve as much profit as possible from these ... These changes did not take place until after Franklin D. Roosevelt wrote a famous speech that closely looked at the essential freedoms and rights of each person in the world, the Four Freedoms. Freedom of speech and worship, along with freedom from want and fear, were the topics of this great speech. People compared Roosevelt s speech to some of the other more influential and well known proclamations known during that era: including the Emancipation Proclamation, the Magna Carta, and even the Ten Commandments. The power and confidence this address held spread beyond the United Statesjust as Roosevelt hoped, giving other nations an example of what could be if there was peace. The Four Freedomsspeech became a universal proclamation that granted and encouraged freedom everywhere, even while denying those same human rights to American citizens. Freedom of speech and worship are two rights in which most people are accustomed to. As they are laid out in the first amendment of the Constitution, any citizen has the right to speak their mind and worship how they would like. Freedom from want describes the desire to be economically secure in every nation which was an important factor coming out the Great Depression. The last essential right is the freedom of fear, in which one can live their life without fear of violence or hatred against them. Roosevelt s Four Freedoms speech ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

She is writing as events are happening: I write this sitting in the kitchen sink (1). After meeting the Cottons, her outlook on life changes drastically. Because of this, her writing changes again to reflect a more hopeful attitude. Her writing methods also change from writing events as they happened, to reflecting on events and writing them much later. Midsummer Eve is where this elated mood reaches a climax. Professor, Department of ECE, P. A. College of Engineering and Technology, Pollachi. 1 karthikasprof@gmail.com 2 jaikumarkarthi@gmail.com Abstract The JPEG 2000 image compression standard is designed for a broad range of data compression applications. The Discrete WaveletTransformation (DWT) is central to the signal analysis and is important in JPEG 2000 and is quite susceptible to computer induced errors. However, advancements in Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs) provide a new vital option for the efficient implementation of DSP algorithms. The main goal of project is to design multiplier less and high speed digital filters to design DWT. The convolution and lifting based approach posses hardware complexity due to multiplier and long critical paths. The Distributed arithmetic architecture is implemented to achieve multiplier less computation in DWT filtering, it is based on Look up table approach, which may lead to a reduction of power consumption and the hardware complexity. DA is basically a bit serial computational operation that forms an inner product of a pair of vectors in a single direct step. To speed up the process the parallel DA is implemented. • 26. A Brief Note On Unemployment And Unemployment Rate There are three major types of unemployment, including frictional unemployment, structural unemployment and cyclical unemployment. Frictional unemployment is the short term unemployment arising from matching workers with jobs. Structural unemployment is because of more people are seeking for jobs in a particular labor market than there are jobs available at the current wage rate. Cyclical unemployment is due to the business cycle. When an economy goes into a recession, demand for most goods and services decline, and so firms do not require as much labor to produce it. Although some unemployment is normal and even in the booming economics, zero unemployment is not feasible, the government need to take every efforts to reduce the unemployment rate. As there are different types of unemployment, different policy measures are required to reduce the unemployment rate. In order to reduce unemployment rate, the most important thing is find the resolve to stimulate aggregate demand. When there is in the booming economics, more jobs are available. Which means greater growth invites higher levels of employment. Frictional unemployment is mainly caused by information asymmetry. In labour market, the information cannot spread between employers and employees symmetrically and effectively. To reduce frictional unemployment, the time of seeking job must be shorten. He also ruthlessly controlled the media to ensure that the Russian people were only given such information as he saw fit. An example of this is the fact that Trotsky s vehement criticisms of Stalin from the various countries he lived in abroad were kept from the Russia people and indeed Trotsky who had been true hero of the revolution was blamed by Stalin for much of Russia s problems at the time. Although both two social groups live in the same area, they live a completely different life. A group known as the South Side Socials (aka socs ), are the upper class teenagers, while the Greasers, are the less fortunate kids, who just so happen to live on the wrong side of town. These two social groups have had a conflict against one another for several years, but on one specific evening, this rivalry turns deadly as one of the greasers, Johnny, stabs and murders a socs. Due to the passing of one of the Socs, the Socs tried to avenge the death of their friend, while the greasers tried to get the town to comprehend that the Socs were also at fault during that conflict. The Outsider is an exceptional film depicting how social groups can explain our behavior, and how deviance and crime are observed in relation to our social group. A social group is defined as a group of two or more people who interact frequently with one another, shares a portion sense of belonging and have a sensation of interdependence. As seen in the film, both the Socs and the greasers care deeply for each associate of the corresponding group. Towards the end of the film, as Johnny is being hospitalized for severe burns, Pony Boy expresses himself by stating the fact that things would be different if he pass away. Over the years the Greasers formed ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The problem with the proof of the existence of God is that it is not something we will know for sure until our dying day. We can speculate and bet on his existence and feel his presence but at this point it is just that, only a bet. This wager is famous for opening up minds to look at the problem in a bigger picture. The problem with the existence of God is not in the answer but instead in the question. Pascal is responsible for refocusing this discussion on God to the bigger problem of the existential context of humanlife. In a way this can all be broken down to very black and white terms Either God is or he is not. But upon looking further we realize that this is a much bigger issue with many grey areas than something as simple as is or is not . Pascal spends much of his argument refocusing discussion and putting appropriate context on different situations. The question of God is a much more pressing question in relation to human mortality. We are much more inclined to draw toward or push away from faith when we are facing unfavorable situations out of our control. When we think of this in terms of prison, humans are put into isolation where they are given ample time to logically think of these trespasses and how they are paying for it with their lives. In both iterations, Moses is called by Yahweh to speak to Pharaoh on behalf of the enslaved Israelites. However, there are many key differences in tone and character development that distinguish the two stories. In the JE version, the text starts with an angel of the Lord appearing to Mosesfrom within a burning bush. This imagery is noticeable absent from the P version of the text. This reflects the priestly interests in the P iteration because in P stories, only priests are able to act as intermediates between man and the divine. Thus, the fantastical image of the burning bush in JE is eschewed. Instead, the P version shows the Lod communicating directly with Moses. The next major difference between the sources is in the substance of the Lord s initial message to Moses. In the JE source, the focus is on rescuing the Israelites from Egypt to bring them to a land flowing with milk and honey (Exodus 3:8). In contrast, the P source depicts the Lord rescuing his people and [redeeming them] with an outstretched arm and with tremendous judgements (Exodus 6:6). In the JE source, the Lord is depicted as a more merciful and human Lord who delivers the people into a great land. In the P source, the Lord is characterized as detached. It must be clear to even the most prejudiced listener that apart from a few rhythmical peculiarities the Ellington piece has far more in common with the music of Grieg 6 One must understand that even when Duke infused the two tonalities of music; he still was obligated to work within guidelines of the European Harmonic tradition.7 Yet by him keeping with this tradition he is not obligated to write music in the form of previous composers such as Stravinsky, Mozart, or Bach, for to do that would delegate Ellington s music as a duplicate work.
