VMukti is a unified communications platform that allows users to communicate, conference, and collaborate through web and mobile. It was founded in 2005 and spun off as an independent company in 2007. VMukti offers audio, video, file sharing and other collaboration features through a browser-based interface. It aims to provide these features at lower cost than competitors like Cisco, WebEx and Skype through its peer-to-peer architecture and open source platform.
