Vishub description Global Excursion
VISH is a virtual science hub that is a public and social repository for e-Excursions connecting schools with scientific institutions. The hub contains e-Excursions, resources, and user profiles that are all publicly accessible. E-Excursions are virtual presentations that can include rich media like videos, images, and remote access to scientific equipment. Registered users can create, clone, and enrich e-Excursions. The hub aims to support a community of content producers and uses recommendations based on social context and user interests. It is built using open source HTML5 and Ruby on Rails technologies.
