Jesus healed a man who was blind from birth by making mud with his saliva and applying it to the man's eyes, telling him to wash in the Pool of Siloam. When questioned, the man insisted he was the one who was blind but now could see. This led the Pharisees to investigate, questioning the man and his parents. They did not believe he was blind until healed. The man said even if Jesus was a sinner, he opened his eyes. Jesus used this to signify the Pharisees who claimed they could see were truly blind and guilty, while those who admit blindness like the man would see.
