INTRODUCTION TO VFD
VFDIS A ELECTRONICS DEVICE WHICH
CONTROL FREQUENCY OF POWER SUPPLIED TO
A AC MOTOR TO CONTROL THE ROTATION
SPEED OF THE MOTOR.
VFD CONTROL THE FREQUENCY BY CONVERTING DC
(DIRECT CURRENT) TO AC (ALTERNATIVE CURRENT)
VFD FUNCTION IS TO ADJUST MOTOR SPEED TO
FULFILL THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE RESPECTIVE
MOTOR OR LOAD. THE RESULT ARE BETTER PROCESS
CONTROL & REDUCED ENERGY.

Why Use ADrive ?
Speed and torque control
Reduce mechanical stress on machines(soft start)
Motor protection
Save energy and improve efficiency of systems
AC Drives Basics-1
The mainelements of VFD working are – the rectifier,
DC bus, inverter, PWM controller, and filter.
First, the AC voltage is converted to DC voltage
through a rectifier,
which is stored in a capacitor bank or DC bus.
The inverter again converts DC voltage to AC voltage,
and the output voltage is modulated by varying the
pulse of the waveform through IGBT.
The filter will remove high-frequency noise from the
output voltage.

VFD?

Steps to ProperlyMaintain a
Variable Frequency Drive
1. Make sure that you have taken permit to
work.
2. Put off MCCB, wait for 5 mint for
discharging its power
3. Clean properly every corner of vfd by blower.
4. Now check every connection it should be
