Verbs are words or groups of words that refer to
actions and states( including our thougths and
feelings). Verbs are sometimes known as doing words.

Primary Verbs
Verb to be
Be can be a main verb.
Eg. I am nine years old.

There were many good dancers in the troupe.
Verb to have
Verb to have has two meanings.
To own or to possess.

eg. I have my books.
He had no money to go to the cinema.
2. To eat or to enjoy.
eg. She is having noodles for lunch.
They had a great time at the carnival.
We can use have as a helping verb to help others verbs
to form the present or past perfect.
Eg. Have you seen the new film about underwater monster in
Europe?
Have can also be put before a verb in the infinitive to
experess a sense of obligation or necessity.
Eg. She has to go shopping with her grandmother this evening.
Verb to do
Do can functions as a main verb.
Eg. He does his work very well.
They did the painting beautifully.
Do can be helping verb when forming questions.
eg. We did not visit my aunt and uncle.
Do can be a helping verb in negative statements.
Eg. Do you work for that company?
