4. Auxiliary Verbs/Helping Verbs

• It is used to change the other verb’s tense, mood or

5. Modal Verbs
• verbs that are used to denote the possibility,
probability, capability or necessity of something
happening.

• a type of verb that is used to link the subjects in a
sentence to the other parts of the sentence so that it
is meaningful.
• It connects the subject to the object, an adjective
and even a prepositional phrase.

9. Simple Present Tense
• an expression for an activity that is currently in
action or is habitually performed.
• It is used for a state that generally exists or is
currently ongoing.
• Rule 1(Singular): Subject + V1 + s/es + Object

• Rule 2(Plural): Subject + V1 + Object

10. Simple Past Tense
• Any event or action that took place in the past can be
referred to as the past tense.
• Rule: Subject + V2 + Object

11. Simple Future Tense
• actions that are to take place in the future fall in the
category of the future tense.
• Rule: Subject + will/shall + V1 + Object
Example: I will visit my Uncle tomorrow.
