Objective: The students will be able to make up a menu for one day that a
typical Kalahari Bushmen might eat.
Guided Practice:
1. Have the students come up with a menu for one day that a typical
Kalahari Bushmen might eat. Write the menu on the chalkboard as the meals
are mentioned.
2. Either read the paragraphs on Kalahari Bushmen food orally or have the
students read it silently to themselves.
3. Review with the class the main food that Kalahari Bushmen eat.
Independent Practice:
1. Read the paragraphs on Kalahari Bushmen food and answer the questions.
2. Create a menu for a day that a typical Kalahari Bushmen person might
eat.
Optional Extensions:
The students will research what a typical Kalahari Bushmen meal might be
like, including all the courses. Have the students prepare the meal at home
and bring in samples for the class.
