Pinot noir is the most widely grown variety in Oregon, accounting for 57.8% of the state's 2014 wine grape harvest. However, Oregon's diverse geography allows it to successfully grow over 70 varieties. The top varieties after Pinot noir are Pinot gris at 17.5% and Chardonnay at 5.1% of the harvest. Major growing regions include the Willamette Valley, Columbia Gorge, and Rogue Valley.
