Beringer Classics
WHITE ZINFANDEL
VINEYARDS
The coordination between viticulture and winemaking teams is essential
when choosing fruit, to achieve the optimum level of flavor and balance in
the wine. The vineyards selected for the Beringer Classics wines are
bathed in warm sunshine the majority of the day, to yield the most ripe,
sun-kissed fruit flavors in the grapes.
WINEMAKING NOTES
Winemaking begins in the vineyard and often peaks with the harvest of
the grapes that have been carefully tended all year long. Grapes for the
Beringer Classics White Zinfandel were picked at the peak of maturity
and brought into the winery for gentle crushing. By keeping the juice in
contact with the grapes’ red skins for approximately three hours, a light
blush color was retained. Beringer’s winemakers then used slow, cool
fermentations to preserve the vibrant, fresh strawberry, honeydew, and
citrus aromas and flavors.
TASTING NOTES
In making Beringer’s White Zinfandel, the focus is to highlight the fresh
red berry, citrus and melon aromas and flavors, and round them out with
subtle hints of nutmeg and clove. The wine has a youthful exuberance
that is enjoyable as a sipper on its own, or with a variety of dishes.
Alcohol: 10%
Beringer Classics wines boast some
of the best-selling wines in the
country. Fruit-forward and smooth,
these wines offer dependable taste
for casual drinkers.

LA TRADIZIONE (THE TRADITION)
In the 12th century Castello di Gabbiano was constructed in the heart of the
Chianti Classico region, just south of Florence. The story has long been told that
the Gabbiano Knight, or Caveliere, protected the Castello di Gabbiano estate from
outside invaders. On the label, the Cavaliere vividly symbolizes the robust charm
and tradition of the Chianti region. Today, this 328-acre estate of vineyards and olive
groves is equipped with a modern fermentation cellar, yet the wines are still crafted in
the rich and ancient Tuscan winemaking tradition by Winemaker Federico Cerelli.
IL VIGNETO (THE VINEYARD)
Fruit for the 2013 Promessa was sourced from two districts -- Trentino and Friuli.
These districts are bordered on the north by the Julian Alps and Dolomite mountain
ranges and on the south by the Adriatic Sea. The average altitude for these hillside
vineyards is about 500-650 feet (150-200 meters) above sea level with soil
compositions ranging from rocky sand to dry clay. These soils, along with an ideal
climate, create some of the best growing conditions for cool weather grape varieties
like Pinot Grigio.
The 2013 growing season began with a rather long winter, and cooler temperatures
overall. The threat of rain continued into harvest for many of the northeastern
regions, but for earlier picked varietals such as Pinot Grigio they still delivered
nice quality and quantity.
IL VINO (THE WINE)
The grapes were gently pressed immediately after harvest and vinified in stainless
steel tanks for 10-15 days at a controlled temperature between 15 and 17°C (about
59 - 64°F). Soft pressing retained the bright varietal characters of the fruit, and a
cool, slow fermentation with select yeasts gave greater fullness and texture to the
wine. Small amounts of Chardonnay were added to the final blend to further
enhance color and texture.
NOTE D’ENOLIGO (WINEMAKER’S NOTES)
The 2013 Promessa is pale straw in color with hints of green and a ripe nose full of
citrus, floral and tropical fruits. Vibrant and refreshing on the palate, with notes of
green apple and lemon accented by a clean finish.

PROMESSA
2013 PINOT GRIGIO DELLE VENEZIE IGT
RÉSERVE SPÉCIALE
CHARDONNAY
IGP Pays d'Oc Chardonnay
DESCRIPTION
Gérard Bertrand is passionate about the Mediterranean Art de
Vivre and is a specialist producer of premium wines from the
south of France. In his Réserve Spéciale range he reveals the
elegant, generous array of fruity flavours produced by the very
best terroirs in the region.

The exceptional terroirs of the Languedoc enjoy optimum
sunshine and low rainfall, bringing out all the complexity of the
region’s emblematic grape varieties and thus producing
top-quality wines.
TASTING NOTES
This grape variety stands out by its noble aromas and the
delicate wines it produces.
Fresh and flavoursome, this 100% Chardonnay comes from
coastal vineyards and offers fresh notes of citrus, ripe apple
and white flowers.
VINIFICATION AND MATURING
The grapes are harvested at night-time in order to preserve all
their freshness.
As soon as they reach the winery they are delicately crushed in
a pneumatic press.
After a static settling operation, low-temperature alcoholic
fermentation begins in stainless steel vats. Part of the must is
transferred to barrels to finish the fermentation.
In order to conserve the wine’s lively character, malolactic
fermentation is not performed.
After a light fining operation the wine is bottled.
* FOOD AND WINE PAIRING *
Serve with scallops, fish cooked in sauce, poultry and risottos.

Winemaking Philosophy
For over three decades, Kendall-Jackson has
remained relentlessly committed to producing only the
finest quality wines from grapes grown in California’s

earned us our world-renowned reputation for wines
that consistently exhibit our signature rich layers of flavor,
combined with delicate balance.
Tasting Notes

pineapple, mango and papaya, with citrus notes
that explode in your mouth. These flavors delicately
intertwine with aromas of vanilla and honey to create

and butter rounds out the long, lingering finish.”

VINEYARDS
Beringer Founders’ Estate Pinot Noir is from select vineyards throughout
Central California and the North Coast. The vineyards are bathed in
sunshine during the day and cooled by the marine layer in the evening,
ensuring even and steady ripening of the grapes. The Founders’ Estate
Pinot Noir grapes were picked as soon as they exhibited the ideal balance
of acidity and ripe fruit flavors.
WINEMAKING NOTES
Gentle winemaking techniques were used to protect the delicate qualities
of the Pinot Noir grapes in order to preserve the grapes’ lush color and
bright fruit flavors once the grapes were crushed. The majority of the
wine saw three to four months in French oak to highlight the wine’s toasty,
brown spice qualities.
TASTING NOTES
The Beringer Founders’ Estate Pinot Noir is bright ruby in color and
displays ripe currant flavors rounded out by aromas of cedar and spice. This
wine has immediate fruit-forward flavors that balance well with the toasty
smokiness of the oak. It would pair perfectly with a red wine risotto or
grilled salmon.

PINOT NOIR
CALIFORNIA
Beringer Founders’ Estate offers
handcrafted wines that are food-friendly
and immediately enjoyable.
Each varietal is true to its classic
characteristics, with a consistently
smooth and fruit-forward profile.
These wines display a delicate balance
of fruit and acidity, to ensure successful
pairing with a variety of foods.
ORIGIN
Santa Ana estate, Talagante, Maipo Valley.
VINEYARDS
Soils: The soil is of alluvial origin and varies
between loam and loamy clay in texture. It is
of medium depth, flat and has good drainage
and moderate fertility.
Climate: The climate is sub-humid
Mediterranean. Winter is gentle with annual
rainfall averaging 200 mm, while summer is dry
and moderate with cool nights. This ensures the
production of healthy grapes with a delicate
texture and accentuated aroma.
VINIFICATION
Reception: The grapes were hand-harvested from
25-year-old vines into 500-kg bins. They were
then destemmed and gently crushed. The must
was cooled and macerated with the skins prior to
fermentation at a temperature of 5º C. for a
period of 3 to 5 days.
Fermentation: Fermentation took place in
stainless steel tanks at temperatures which varied
between 28ºC and 30ºC for a period of 7 to 10
days. Then the must was macerated with the skins
for an additional 5 to 10 days. 100 % of the wine
was aged in French oak barrels for 12 months and
then in the bottle for at least 10 months.
TASTING NOTES
This Cabernet Sauvignon was made with carefully
selected grapes from our Santa Ana Estate in the
Maipo Valley. It is intense ruby in colour and the
nose reveals red fruit, such as raspberries,
blackcurrants, ripe cherries and subtle notes of
spice and chocolate. The mouth is fresh with
notes of menthol and cedar. This is a
well-balanced wine with expressive tannins,
which contribute complexity and a good balance
between the fruit and the oak. This wine pairs
well with beef, game, lamb, pork and full-fat
cheese.

  • 2. Beringer Classics WHITE ZINFANDEL VINEYARDS The coordination between viticulture and winemaking teams is essential when choosing fruit, to achieve the optimum level of flavor and balance in the wine. The vineyards selected for the Beringer Classics wines are bathed in warm sunshine the majority of the day, to yield the most ripe, sun-kissed fruit flavors in the grapes. WINEMAKING NOTES Winemaking begins in the vineyard and often peaks with the harvest of the grapes that have been carefully tended all year long. Grapes for the Beringer Classics White Zinfandel were picked at the peak of maturity and brought into the winery for gentle crushing. By keeping the juice in contact with the grapes’ red skins for approximately three hours, a light blush color was retained. Beringer’s winemakers then used slow, cool fermentations to preserve the vibrant, fresh strawberry, honeydew, and citrus aromas and flavors. TASTING NOTES In making Beringer’s White Zinfandel, the focus is to highlight the fresh red berry, citrus and melon aromas and flavors, and round them out with subtle hints of nutmeg and clove. The wine has a youthful exuberance that is enjoyable as a sipper on its own, or with a variety of dishes. Alcohol: 10% Beringer Classics wines boast some of the best-selling wines in the country. Fruit-forward and smooth, these wines offer dependable taste for casual drinkers. • 4. E S T A B L I S H E D 1 1 2 4 LA TRADIZIONE (THE TRADITION) In the 12th century Castello di Gabbiano was constructed in the heart of the Chianti Classico region, just south of Florence. The story has long been told that the Gabbiano Knight, or Caveliere, protected the Castello di Gabbiano estate from outside invaders. On the label, the Cavaliere vividly symbolizes the robust charm and tradition of the Chianti region. Today, this 328-acre estate of vineyards and olive groves is equipped with a modern fermentation cellar, yet the wines are still crafted in the rich and ancient Tuscan winemaking tradition by Winemaker Federico Cerelli. IL VIGNETO (THE VINEYARD) Fruit for the 2013 Promessa was sourced from two districts -- Trentino and Friuli. These districts are bordered on the north by the Julian Alps and Dolomite mountain ranges and on the south by the Adriatic Sea. The average altitude for these hillside vineyards is about 500-650 feet (150-200 meters) above sea level with soil compositions ranging from rocky sand to dry clay. These soils, along with an ideal climate, create some of the best growing conditions for cool weather grape varieties like Pinot Grigio. The 2013 growing season began with a rather long winter, and cooler temperatures overall. The threat of rain continued into harvest for many of the northeastern regions, but for earlier picked varietals such as Pinot Grigio they still delivered nice quality and quantity. IL VINO (THE WINE) The grapes were gently pressed immediately after harvest and vinified in stainless steel tanks for 10-15 days at a controlled temperature between 15 and 17°C (about 59 - 64°F). Soft pressing retained the bright varietal characters of the fruit, and a cool, slow fermentation with select yeasts gave greater fullness and texture to the wine. Small amounts of Chardonnay were added to the final blend to further enhance color and texture. NOTE D’ENOLIGO (WINEMAKER’S NOTES) The 2013 Promessa is pale straw in color with hints of green and a ripe nose full of citrus, floral and tropical fruits. Vibrant and refreshing on the palate, with notes of green apple and lemon accented by a clean finish. © 2014 TWE Imports, Napa, CA TECHNICAL DETAILS APPELLATION: IGT Pinot Grigio delle Venezie (Trentino, Friuli) BLEND: 92% Pinot Grigio; 8% Chardonnay ALCOHOL: 12.5% PROMESSA 2013 PINOT GRIGIO DELLE VENEZIE IGT

RÉSERVE SPÉCIALE CHARDONNAY IGP Pays d'Oc Chardonnay DESCRIPTION Gérard Bertrand is passionate about the Mediterranean Art de Vivre and is a specialist producer of premium wines from the south of France. In his Réserve Spéciale range he reveals the elegant, generous array of fruity flavours produced by the very best terroirs in the region.   The exceptional terroirs of the Languedoc enjoy optimum sunshine and low rainfall, bringing out all the complexity of the region’s emblematic grape varieties and thus producing top-quality wines. TASTING NOTES This grape variety stands out by its noble aromas and the delicate wines it produces. Fresh and flavoursome, this 100% Chardonnay comes from coastal vineyards and offers fresh notes of citrus, ripe apple and white flowers. VINIFICATION AND MATURING The grapes are harvested at night-time in order to preserve all their freshness. As soon as they reach the winery they are delicately crushed in a pneumatic press. After a static settling operation, low-temperature alcoholic fermentation begins in stainless steel vats. Part of the must is transferred to barrels to finish the fermentation. In order to conserve the wine’s lively character, malolactic fermentation is not performed. After a light fining operation the wine is bottled. * FOOD AND WINE PAIRING * Serve with scallops, fish cooked in sauce, poultry and risottos.

  • 10. ORIGIN Santa Ana estate, Talagante, Maipo Valley. VINEYARDS Soils: The soil is of alluvial origin and varies between loam and loamy clay in texture. It is of medium depth, flat and has good drainage and moderate fertility. Climate: The climate is sub-humid Mediterranean. Winter is gentle with annual rainfall averaging 200 mm, while summer is dry and moderate with cool nights. This ensures the production of healthy grapes with a delicate texture and accentuated aroma. VINIFICATION Reception: The grapes were hand-harvested from 25-year-old vines into 500-kg bins. They were then destemmed and gently crushed. The must was cooled and macerated with the skins prior to fermentation at a temperature of 5º C. for a period of 3 to 5 days. Fermentation: Fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks at temperatures which varied between 28ºC and 30ºC for a period of 7 to 10 days. Then the must was macerated with the skins for an additional 5 to 10 days. 100 % of the wine was aged in French oak barrels for 12 months and then in the bottle for at least 10 months. TASTING NOTES This Cabernet Sauvignon was made with carefully selected grapes from our Santa Ana Estate in the Maipo Valley. It is intense ruby in colour and the nose reveals red fruit, such as raspberries, blackcurrants, ripe cherries and subtle notes of spice and chocolate. The mouth is fresh with notes of menthol and cedar. This is a well-balanced wine with expressive tannins, which contribute complexity and a good balance between the fruit and the oak. This wine pairs well with beef, game, lamb, pork and full-fat cheese. WINEMAKER María del Pilar Díaz www.undurraga.cl GRAN RESERVA - CABERNET SAUVIGNON
