The Narcissus Valley in Transcarpathia, Ukraine is famous for its fields of daffodils that bloom every May. According to local legend, the flowers first appeared when a broken vase spilled its contents of narcissus flowers onto the riverbank. Now in late May, the entire valley is covered in a carpet of white daffodils, attracting thousands of tourists each year to admire the natural beauty. Visitors are asked not to pick the flowers so that others can enjoy the spectacle.

probably the most famous
association with
Transcarpathia for most
people. It is an excellent
recreation area amidst an
array Carpathian reserve.
In just 4 kilometers from
Khust, the tract called
Kireshi is one of the most
scenic parts of Ukraine.
 The reserve is located on a
very atypical for
Transcarpathia flat terrain
on one of the terraces of
the river Tisza, occupying
almost the entire basin in
the floodplain of Hustets
river (257 ha).

this tell that Greek God
Narcissus saw his
reflection in the waters
of the river Hustets . He
fell in love with himself
and died on the banks
of boredom

4.  According to another legend, once in ancient times lived in
Khust Castle Prince, Princess and their beautiful daughter
Rusya. On the outskirts of the city life spent potter Ivanko.
On day many rich citizens and visitors with the expensive
presents came to Khust Castle to celebrate Rusya ‘s
birthday expensive. Ivanko also wanted to make a gift - it
was a strange vase with flashed graceful white narcissus
flowers. At this moment Ivanko and Rusya and fell in love
with each other and they began to meet secretly in a
picturesque valley. But once Prince knew everything ,
grabbed a vase and broke it.
Vase broke and collapsed into the rock into small pieces .
When the sun rose, everybody saw valley covered with
white and green Daffodils carpet

decade of May -
then, at the peak of
their bloom, the
whole valley is
covered with snow-
