Vail High School's College, Career, and Citizenship program aims to prepare students for success after graduation through college exposure, career exploration, community service, and leadership opportunities. 9. ANIMO CONFERENCE MISSION STATEMENT To promote health, educational and life activities in a forum where young men and their mentors can share their knowledge, needs and ambitions for mutual empowerment.

10. The Participants Latino young men, ages 12-17 Fathers, uncles, teachers and mentors who accompany the youth. A special Fathers’ session is held while the young men attend their own sessions. The focus is on issues such as decreasing domestic violence, manhood and their expression of self as a Latino man. Volunteer professional Latino men who come to assist and support the youth throughout the day.
