Speaker: Nigel Wheatley
Many a freelancer's heart will sink at the mention of quality assurance (QA). For too many translators it is synonymous with pointless semi-automated checks that have an overwhelming rate of false-positives; but such software "solutions" are not QA at all. Approached correctly, true QA can offer a solution to one of our fundamental marketing problems: how do we persuade potential clients that we are competent, professional and worth our rates. This presentation will look at the various QA options available to individual freelancers and/or small agencies.
