Southern Queensland (USQ Australia)

This total fee (including one-time admission fee) of approx. AUD 16,600 over 2
years includes comprehensive study materials, access to UConnect, and 12
exams.
Please note that for Master of Professional Accounting and Dual Masters
programs with 16 courses, the cost is higher.

 Students are provided with a detailed USQ Australia
Study Guide and an introductory guide for each course
 Original reference textbooks are imported by MDi
Pakistan and kept in the MDi library for student access
 All students get a UConnect login ID/password at no
extra cost for the tenure of their program at MDi

 Study materials used by the USQ MBA program at MDi
Pakistan are the same as those used in the on-campus
program
 These include an Introductory Guide to the course and a
detailed Study Guide with a week by week detailed
syllabus and course material
 Students are also supplied with supplementary materials
and references when part of the course package

 UConnect is the university’s web-based learning and
online reference facility that is available free of charge to
all students
 It provides access to a study desk, study materials,
course discussion boards, and library facilities including
reference databases, journals and e-books
 UConnect provides an opportunity to interact with
fellow students, local tutors as well as USQ faculty
Classes and Program Delivery
 To accommodate working professionals, classes are held in the evening
 Typical class schedule and timings are as follows:
 In the average semester the total class time per course can vary from 20 to
30 contact hours, depending on the course and the specific needs of the
group

Flexibility for Working Professionals

You can defer a course to another semester, take only 1 course in a
particular semester, or drop the semester completely.
 Medical leave or urgent work project during exams /
assignments.
You can apply for exam deferment based on formal medical /
employer request.
 “I am traveling to another country during exams.”
You can request for change of exam center to any location in the
globe.
Flexibility for Working Professionals
 “I am transferring to another location.”
We simply change your exam center, send your study materials to
you, and you send us your assignments for onward transmission to
the university.
 “I want to transfer my credits to the on-campus program.”
Yes, this is a standard facility.
 “I started a course but I can’t do this now because
something urgent has come up.”
You are allowed to drop a course after having started it by a certain
drop date without a financial or academic penalty.
Assignments and Exams
 Course assessment is based on a composite grade of
assignments and final exams
 The weighting system for each assignment and exam is
specified and the study materials specify the percent
weight attached to each topic of study
Assignments and Exams
 All assignments are set by USQ Australia
 Assignments and their submission schedules are
specified at the outset as part of the study materials that
students get at the beginning of each semester
 Students then prepare their assignments and submit
these to USQ course leaders directly through their online
portal for marking and assessment
Assignments and Exams
 To ensure maximum transparency, and in line with HEC
requirements, all USQ MBA exams are conducted at
British Council centers
 On completion of the exams by students, the exam
scripts are immediately dispatched by British Council to
USQ Australia for marking and final grades
Credit Transfer
 The USQ MBA, Masters and all other USQ programs in
Pakistan enjoy full credit transfers with the on-campus
program at USQ Australia
 You may complete a few courses at MDi Pakistan and
the remaining at USQ Australia
 For example, you may wish to do 6 courses here and 6 in
Australia, or 8 here and 4 in Australia
Exemptions
 Exemptions can be applied for during the application
process
 USQ grants exemptions if the candidate has previously
done the requisite courses at the Masters level, and
where the course contents are almost similar
Relocation
 You can continue the program without interruption in the case of
a transfer abroad or to another city in Pakistan
 We continue to provide you with downloadable study materials
and facilitation for the rest of your tenure
 Your exams are arranged at the British Council or similar exam
center in your city
 You submit your assignments online via UConnect for
assessment by USQ Australia faculty.
 Your student ID and UConnect™ access stays with you until you
graduate
 Some locations from where students have attended exams and
completed our program include Lahore, Karachi, Hanoi, Abu
Dhabi, Dubai, Bangkok, Cairo, Jeddah etc.
Degree Award and Convocation
 The USQ MBA degree awarded to the graduates of this
program at MDi Pakistan is exactly the same as the on-
campus degree
 In fact, one of the conditions imposed by HEC Pakistan in
granting recognition to the program has been that the degree
should be identical to the Australian on-campus version
 In addition, graduates can receive the degree in Pakistan or
visit any of the convocation centers on-campus in Australia,
Singapore or Malaysia
