Acknowledgement of Traditional Owners
Short version:
I acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the lands where QUT now stands, pay respect to their Elders - past, present and emerging –
and acknowledge the important role Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people continue to play within the QUT community.
Long version:
In keeping with the spirit of Reconciliation, I acknowledge the Turrbal, Jagera/Yuggera, Kabi Kabi and Jinibara Peoples as the Traditional Owners
of the lands where QUT now stands – and recognise that these have always been places of teaching and learning.
I wish to pay respect to their Elders - past, present and emerging – and acknowledge the important role Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people continue to play within the QUT community.
OPs don’t go out of date, they can be used to gain entry to university for many years but are converted to a rank.
OPs and ranks treated equally in admission process.
QTAC application fee $65 in 2015 (the 2016 fee is not on website yet)
The onus is on you to apply for these admission schemes and submit the relevant forms by the due date. Late forms are not accepted.
So if lower QTAC preferences should include some of these options.
Students will be given a new rank for each study attempt – so they’ll have their OP, and then they will get another rank for any additional study. When they apply for their chosen course, we will usually use the highest of these ranks, except if they have a failing GPA in a like course.
