How can we
understand users?
There are several methods
which helps you to
understand and analyze
users
Users’ Interview
Asking questions
Effective user interviews are the first step in
understanding how your users think and behave.
Not only do you want to know who they are, but you
want to dive deeper into understanding their
motivations, mentality, and behavior.
This deep insight into your users will help you keep
your design focused on delivering a great interior
design experience.
How can we turn those information into design?
There are four people living in the house
Example:

work aesthetically ( I mean color, line, texture, ...)
read and understand the concept behind his work, dig deeper
read about the way he/she thinks, listen to his TED talks
Kashida Design
Discovering ways to “bring [Arabic]
letters into people’s homes
When you think about an activity do not only look at direct furniture in relation to this activity,
think also about the experience you can design for this activity. For example:
Direct thinking of drinking a cup of tea
You can think about it
Furniture
Cabinets
Cups
Colors
Also think of the experience of drinking a cup of tea
(Go to TEACLUB and drink a cup of tea, try to smell it ..look at the color of the tea, the design of
the cup you are drinking in..)
What do you do while drinking tea?
A cup of tea while you are reading
A cup of tea with a company ( people you love)
A cup of tea wile listening to your favorite music ...
