Acetabularia Information For Class 9 .docxvaibhavrinwa19
Acetabularia acetabulum is a single-celled green alga that in its vegetative state is morphologically differentiated into a basal rhizoid and an axially elongated stalk, which bears whorls of branching hairs. The single diploid nucleus resides in the rhizoid.
Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.
The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.

June 3, 2024 Anti-Semitism Letter Sent to MIT President Kornbluth and MIT Cor...Levi Shapiro
Letter from the Congress of the United States regarding Anti-Semitism sent June 3rd to MIT President Sally Kornbluth, MIT Corp Chair, Mark Gorenberg
Dear Dr. Kornbluth and Mr. Gorenberg,
The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
• The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.
• The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating the sources of funding and other support flowing to groups espousing pro-Hamas propaganda and engaged in antisemitic harassment and intimidation of students. The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is the principal oversight committee of the US House of Representatives and has broad authority to investigate “any matter” at “any time” under House Rule X.
• The Committee on Ways and Means has been investigating several universities since November 15, 2023, when the Committee held a hearing entitled From Ivory Towers to Dark Corners: Investigating the Nexus Between Antisemitism, Tax-Exempt Universities, and Terror Financing. The Committee followed the hearing with letters to those institutions on January 10, 202
2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

Embracing GenAI - A Strategic ImperativePeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

Pawar Public School, Pune
At Pawar Public School, Pune, we believe that there is no substitute for ‘Education Through Action’ and that exploring people, places,
cultures, economic opportunities, and technological advancements through travel, complements and completes the educational
experience. This philosophy matches our endeavour to create responsible and dynamic global leaders and global citizens by bringing
the knowledge of the world to the classroom as well as encouraging students to go out into the world. These two methods are critical
to create the three pillars of global citizenship based on empathy, understanding and International collaboration.
In line with this mission, our students recently journeyed to USA under a program titled EdTerra’s East Coast Space Adventure. We
chose this program for its focus on exposing students to space exploration and technology at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center. They
also visited historic, natural and modern marvels of Washington, D.C., Niagara Falls and New York City. To augment the broader
program, we selected the Young Authors Program, which ensured students’ engagement and immersion.
This Student Travel Chronicle is an outcome of this collaborative and exploratory module that our students partook in along with the
students of other branches of Pawar Public School. It captures the entire journey in the students’ own words and photographs. It even
showcases their learning from the intense, ten day journey to one of the world’s most successful democratic nations.
I would also like to recognize the efforts of EdTerra Edventures; a company that is well aware of co-curricular and extra-curricular
goals and developmental needs of students. We acknowledge the contribution of their staff, especially their on-journey educator, the

MESSAGE FROM EDTERRA
TRA VELLING TO KNOWLEDGE
A journey to foreign soil is always replete with learning and excitement for any young and inquisitive mind. When the destination is
as rich as the East Coast of USA, one can only imagine the myriad ways in which Indian students may absorb and construct learning
out of the many differences and similarities that mark the cultures and people of these two great nations.
For EdTerra, an educational journey is about enabling students to construct knowledge through a meaningful encounter with a new
culture, without diluting their fun and excitement or restricting their wandering, curious minds. EdTerra achieves this through its
Program Development Team (PDT), which is comprised of both Indian and international experts. The PDT carefully designs culturally
neutral tools that enable students to meaningfully observe, record and articulate their impressions. These tools are deployed through
a process that encourages teamwork, meaningful discussions, recording observations through digital media and finally synthesizing
all this into a media product that showcases the ideas and learning of the students.
This Student Travel Chronicle, ‘East Coast Space Adventure’, the students of is one such media product that captures the ten day
journey of learning of the gifted students of Pawar Public School, Pune, along with the students of other branches of Pawar Public
School, to Kennedy Space Centre, Orlando, Niagara Falls, Washington, D.C., and New York City. This beautiful book serves as a window
into the U.S. and above all the amazing world of NASA for those students, peers and parents who could not be a part of the journey.
It showcases the intellectual and creative capacities of the students, credit for which is rightfully due to their parents and school.
EdTerra Edventures would like to thank Pawar Public School, Pune, for their efforts and support which made this journey of discovery
possible, with a special mention of the Principal, Mrs. Padmavati Joshi, for guiding us throughout the process of finalizing the journey.
EdTerra would also like to thank the accompanying staff, for their sense of adventure and dynamism that the French call joie de vivre.
Their energy made our jobs easy, and more importantly, made for a more memorable journey for the students. We encourage you to
read on and re-live the learning and adventures of these students through the words and photographs that follow.

On the way to Niagara Falls our journey mentor narrated an
interesting story about the maiden of Niagara Falls and also
about the ‘War of Currents’ between Thomas Alva Edison and
Nikola Tesla and its connection to Niagara Falls. Finally we
got our blue rain ponchos and boarded the Maid of the Mist
ferry. As we moved closer to the Horseshoe Falls, the mist rose
higher and higher and the winds blew harder, and we got quite
a scare in the beginning as the mist engulfed the entire area.
We also saw other ferries from Canada. We were overjoyed to
see a peaceful international border between two countries.

Times Square is like an open mall surrounded by many shops.
Statue of Liberty was another destination in the program. It
was a gift from France to the people of USA. We also went to
the top of the One World Observatory in a really fast elevator.
After a tiring flight we headed to our hotel from Orlando
International Airport and our journey mentor told us to watch
out for alligators in the marshy patches of water bodies along
the road. We even saw one next to our hotel; thankfully it was
fenced. But the idea of sighting an alligator along the road
definitely caught our attention.
Our journey started with Disney’s Magic Kingdom. When we
took our ferry to reach the park, the words “Row, row, row
your boat, gently down the stream...” echoed in our minds. We
enjoyed lovely rides like Space Mountain and Splash Mountain.
But what really took our breath away was the Disney Parade!
We also went to the Haunted House and were expecting to
be spooked out of our minds. Well that did not really happen.
In the end we saw a spectacular fireworks show. Universal’s
Islands of Adventure was equally fun and we enjoyed the rides
to the hilt. Finally we returned from Universal with a yearning
to go back again.
We toured Kennedy Space Center for two days. It is a dream
place for anyone who wants to work in the fields of science
and technology. We watched an inspirational movie called
Journey to Space in 3D IMAX. We learnt about how astronauts
live in space away from their families; it is a tough job. At
Kennedy Space Center we had the remarkable experience

20. They say “sky is the limit” but NASA has proved them wrong.
As a result of a cold war between the Soviet Union and the
United States of America, a space race was started between
the two to have control over space. This was to prove their
supremacy over the other. Fearful of the Soviet Union’s control
over space, the Americans thrived to build a mighty rocket that
could propel humans into space. This led to the creation of the
National Aeronautical and Space Administration (NASA). A few
years later, the Americans achieved the goal of sending man to
space with the help of Alan Shepard (first American in space)
but they were only second to Soviet Union’s Yuri Gagarin.
The Americans wanted to do something unprecedented.
Therefore, under the leadership of President John F. Kennedy
they declared that America was going to the moon by the end
of the decade not because it was easy but because it was hard
and that was how the Apollo mission started. The first Apollo
mission was a failure and a great blow to NASA as it lost three
prized astronauts, Gus Grissom, Ed White and Roger Chaffee.
Apollo 8 saw the surface of the Moon but was unable to land
on it. Finally Apollo 11 went to the Moon and Neil Armstrong
became the first man to step on the Moon. At Kennedy Space
Centre we learnt that after the Apollo mission came the shuttle
mission which was aimed to build shuttles that could be
reused. When we reached KSC, we went on a bus tour around
the compound and the guide on the tour gave us detailed
information about the buildings in the compound which
included the NASA Headquarters and the Vehicular Assembly
Building.
Later during the day we watched a mind-gripping IMAX movie
called ‘Our Beautiful Earth’, after which we saw presentations
on the Apollo Mission, the Shuttle Program and the life of
an astronaut in the International Space Station (ISS).The
ISS conveys a very strong message, that together with unity,
perseverance and hard work, we can achieve anything. Among
the many things we did in KSC, we had lunch with an astronaut,
Brian Duffy, who had been on 4 space shuttle missions and also
served as a commander on 2 of them. We were very lucky to
view a live rocket launch and saw how it takes the efforts of
hundreds of people to make a single launch successful.
We were also able to experience a shuttle launch through
simulation. It was a truly thrilling experience. Reflecting back
makes us feel more nostalgic every time we relive our precious
experiences and the lessons we learnt through them. We thank
all the people who gave us this opportunity of going to such a
wonderful place and we will cherish our memories forever.

“Laughter is timeless imagination that has no age and dreams
are forever.” This was rightly said by Walter Elias Disney. Walt
Disney and his brother Roy Disney are the founders of Walt
Disney productions, which became one of the best known
motion picture production companies in the world.
We guys visited Disney World established in Orlando. There
were numerous Disney characters and trust us, we were totally
mesmerized by them. There were restaurants and shops for
snacks. We also undertook the spine chilling rides. The whole
affair ended with dazzling and exquisite fireworks based on the
theme “happily ever after” and the fireworks were a spectacular
vision. Another incomparable part was the parade. To see all
the Disney characters which we have always seen on television
come alive in front of our own eyes, was unforgettable.
The message we got was that we are never too old to be
young. Another entertainment attraction which Florida has
is the Universal Studios; we visited the Islands of Adventure
park. The park’s overall theme is that of a journey exploration.
There are eight islands- Port of Entry, Marvel Super Hero Island,
Toon Lagoon, Skull Island and Jurassic Park, Wizarding World
of Harry Potter, the Lost Continent and Seuss Landing, out of
which we didn’t go to the Lost Continent.
We learnt that we should enjoy our moments and surprises
that come our way. Also, we learnt to be independent, to make
our own decisions about money and other things.

Nearing the Niagara Falls, the first word that came to our mind
was heavenly. Our experience at Niagara Falls truly touched
our souls. As soon as we reached this wonderful destination,
we entered our ferries which took us to the foot of the Falls.
This ride is commonly known as the ‘Maid of the Mist’. An
interesting thing about these Falls is that, it’s not just made
up of one waterfall but three. These are the Bridal Veil Falls
whose flow symbolizes a bride’s veil, the American Falls and
Horseshoe Falls or the Canadian Falls. Our ferry took us to all
these Falls.
As soon as we got a glimpse of the Bridal Veil Falls, we were
totally mesmerized. The view was absolutely breathtaking.
The cascading mist coming from the Falls welcomed us and
cleansed our souls; some of us even had tears. Our eyes after
seeing one of God’s most wonderful creations, we realized how
beautiful nature is, though destructible. We also visited the
American and the Horsheshoe Falls which were much bigger
and harsher comparatively to the Angel Falls. Here it seemed
as if nature was also trying to exhibit its fury along with its
beauty.
We were completely drowned in the mist, the harsh winds
slapping our faces. There we felt as if we had conquered
the world. We were filled with a sense of satisfaction awe
and wonder, and behold, there right in front of us the Falls
majestically rained down displaying pride and unbeatable
spirit. The Americans who were present on the ferry were all
wearing blue raincoats which symbolized America. But on the
other side of the Falls we could see ferries and people wearing
pink raincoats which symbolized Canada.
Along with exploring nature, we even discovered a lot of
interesting facts about Niagara Falls. It drained the largest
amount of water in the world, nearly 3.160 tons per second.
They even flow with a great speed of 4-8 miles per hour and
have a height of 57 metres. The amount of water these falls
displace makes them risky.
An interesting fact we came across was that the first person to
cross these falls was a 63 year old woman Annie Edson Taylor.
She along with her cat jumped over the falls inside a barrel
that was rolled down upon the flow of water. Along with having
a once-in-a-lifetime experience we even learnt a few lessons
through our journey. Niagara is a symbol of friendship and
unity between the two powerful countries, the United States
and Canada. The water and hydroelectricity produced in these
falls are undisputedly shared by these countries. Niagara
also instigates in us a feeling of appreciation for nature and
encourages us to value nature’s wonders and not to exploit
them.Thiswasaverysensationalandmindblowingexperience,
that will always remain in our hearts and souls eternally.

New York City, a city which was named after the Dutch of
York of England became a huge attraction not because of its
agricultural and technological advancement but because of
the wood eating beavers, who became a great source of fur for
warm jackets.
Our journey began when we finished our tour of Washington,
D.C. It was a five hour travel through the bus. The three bridges
which connect the five boroughs of are Brooklyn Bridge,
Williamsburg Bridges and Manhattan Bridge. Manhattan
in New York City is connected to New Jersey by the Holland
Tunnel, which is under the Hudson River. The Brooklyn Bridge
was the first bridge to provide passage and is one of the oldest
suspension bridges in the US.
We were happy to see the United Nations General Assembly
and Secretariat Buildings. Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum
displays the wax work of famous and historic people and also
popular film characters. It had the wax statues of Bollywood
actors such as Salman Khan, Hritik Roshan, Madhuri Dixit and
Katrina Kaif. They also have on display the statues of George
Washington, Donald Trump and Barack Obama, Marvel heroes,
King Kong and famous singers.
Rockefeller Centre is a large complex located in the centre
of Midtown Manhattan. This is also the place where a huge
Christmas tree is displayed during the winter season. Times
Square is a major commercial intersection, tourist destination
and entertainment centre. Times Square was renamed in 1904
after the New York Times moved its headquarters to the newly
erected Times Building. Throughout the street, plenty of shops
were decorated with bright lights during our visit.
The next day we visited the Statue of Liberty which was gifted
by France to USA. The statue came to USA on a boat. It is
made up of copper. The crown has seven spikes representing
seven continents. Gustafson Eiffel created the cast for Statue
of Liberty. The Statue of Liberty is located on an island in
the Hudson Bay. The money which was needed to build this
island was taken from Pulitzer who owned many newspaper
companies. Through his newspaper he published and
requested the people to donate money in order to install the
gift. His efforts bore fruit and the money collected was donated
to the government to make the island.
Emma Lazarus wrote a sonnet “the New Colossus” on the
Statue of Liberty. Lots of immigrants came to the USA from
Europe and they would come through the Hudson Bay to reach
Ellis. The Freedom Tower is 1776 feet tall which represents
the year America gained independence. In the place where
the 9/11 incident took place, two fountains were constructed
to signify that despite facing tragedies people need to move
on with their lives and also to remind us of the terrible attack
that had left a big impact on the people of New York. It teaches
us a lesson that it is not important how many times we fall in
life, but it is important that we rise up every time we fall. It was
really the most memorable trip of our lives. We had a great
time with friends and collected many memories.

NASA. Then we flew to Niagara and
saw the Niagara Falls, which was
magnificent. The next day after an
eight hour bus journey, we reached
Washington, D.C. The White House
was the best thing there. Later we
travelled to NewYork and we visited
Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum
and Times Square.

Hi! My name is Arjun Mishra. I like
horse riding.I went on a trip to USA in
2018. This was my first international
trip with EdTerra Edventures. This
was my best experience.We visited
cities like NewYork,Washington,D.C.

this trip was when we saw the rocket
launch of Falcon -9, rocket for the
satellite Bangabandhu, first satellite
of Bangladesh. We also enjoyed the
Maid of the Mist boat tour at Niagara
Falls.The most important thing which
I learned on the trip was how to be
more independent in taking my own
decisions. And I also learned how to
cross a road in NewYork.
Hello readers! I am Atharva

am in Class 8 and I like drawing and
playing Tabla. My trip to USA was
a very good experience. Visiting
the world’s superpower gives you
a proud feeling. Our trip was made
extra special, as we were able to
watch a real rocket go up into space
in front of our own eyes. Get ready
to explore and feel the Majestic East
Coast of USA!!!

I am a student of Class 7. Our
journey across USA was conducted
by EdTerra Edventures. When I
first got to know about this trip to
USA, I was very excited. It was a
great experience travelling to such
wonderful cities of USA like Orlando,
Niagara, Washington, D.C. and New
York. The city which I liked the most
was Orlando.We also visited Disney
World and saw beautiful fireworks,
Universal Studios, Kennedy Space
Center where we had lunch with
an astronaut; we saw spacecrafts
and movies about astronauts. It was
a good experience to be there. I
loved this tour a lot and got a lot of
knowledge from it.

“Adventure here I come!” Hello! I
am Kaavya. Books are my first love
and I am completely obsessed with
playing basketball. I always had a
dream of visiting USA and finally
after such a long wait my dream
was fulfilled, thanks to EdTerra
and my parents. This trip has been
a learning experience for me and
surprisingly I discovered a lot about
myself through it. While visiting the
amusement parks, I learnt that you
are never too old to enjoy like the
young. In Kennedy Space Centre, I
discovered a new interest in space.
I even learnt many moral values
like making my own decisions and
being independent and punctual.
This trip has been a unique once-
in-a-lifetime experience.

At the start of our journey we went
to Downtown Disney and there we
went on a mini hot air balloon ride.
It had an amazing view of a river
and I loved it. I bought a candy
from the Chocolate Shop. Then we
went to Disney World and had fun in
amazing amusement park rides like
Splash Mountain. We also visited
Buffalo, Niagara Falls, Walmart,
Washington, D.C., Lincoln Memorial,
Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial
and Vietnam War Memorial. In
Times Square all of the steps were
decorated with neon lights and it
looked beautiful. The next morning
we went to Statue of Liberty and
Freedom Tower. It was an amazing
trip but we had to say goodbye to
USA and come back to our home in
India.

especially new dishes. My dream
to visit USA finally came true. I felt
proud standing in front of the White

chocolate brand. I was thrilled to
enter and explore different kinds of
chocolates in the chocolate factory.
I learnt to become independent,
handle expenditure and be open
to learning new things. The Shuttle

Hey! I am Mohit and I would like to
share my experience of our trip to
USA. My dream came true because
of EdTerra Edventures. They
organised the trip very well. The
most loved place for me in USA was
New York. Madame Tussaud’s Wax
Museum was a wonderful place to
visit. Then we visited Times Square,
the busiest street in the world. It was
so crowded that even taking a step
was next to impossible. Then we
moved to Orlando where we went to
Universal Studios and we rode on an
enormous ride called Hulk Coaster.
Then we visited Florida Mall and
Walmart. The most unforgettable
experience of our journey was our
visit to Niagara Falls.

with EdTerra Edventures across the
United States was an inspirational
experience. I like exploring
new things. It was a unique and
unforgettable experience. We
visited a few spots in the East Coast
like Washington, D.C., Orlando, New
York and Niagara. This trip was a
perfect combination of education
and adventure. We explored many
things about the country and even
about ourselves. Their technology
interests me a lot. It was an amazing
experience. Hope you all enjoy
reading about it.

Hi guys! I am Niharika Chalka and
guess what, I was the oldest person
in our group of eighteen students.
By the way I am 15 years old. I am
responsible and pretty helpful
towards my juniors. I advise them
on some stuff and take care of them
too. I had been to two countries a
year ago, alone without my parents
but on this trip, I have learnt to be
more independent and to take my
own decisions for buying souvenirs.
Also, I have learnt to spend my
money wisely and help the teachers
to do stuff. The best thing I liked
about USA is the systematic way
the traffic moved. The people
are pretty kind and helpful even
towards strangers. Also, I loved
visiting Times Square.

Hi! I am Satyam Kumar Kamble. I
like playing Tabla and table tennis
is my favourite sport. This was my
first international trip which was
organized by EdTerra Edventures.
It was our first US trip and it was
amazing. I enjoyed a lot with my
group. When I first heard about the
trip, I was not that keen but when
they told us that they would also be
visiting Kennedy Space Center, I
couldn’tresist.It’soneofmyfavourite
places and it’s also my dream to
become an Astronautical Engineer. I
should suggest that if you want to go
on a trip you must visit USA because
there are so many inspiring places
in this country.

Hey! I am Srushti Raut. We travelled
by one of the world’s best airlines,
Emirates. It was not only fun to visit
Orlando,NiagaraFalls,Washington,
D.C. and New York but this trip gave
me a spirit of independence. When
we worked together in groups we
understood that if we work together
we can compose books as good
as professional authors. I really
felt good interacting with people
of other schools. It was the most
memorable moment when we had
lunch with a role model of mine,
an astronaut. I got the inspiration
of keeping my country India as
clean as USA. Watching the Disney
fireworks was the most wonderful
moment of my life. I really enjoyed
the tour. And I will be looking
further for more such opportunities.
Pavani
Hey! I am Pavani. I like drawing
landscapes of nature and birds. I
was really enthusiastic when I came
to know about the trip. We were
really fortunate to see the satellite
launch at Kennedy Space Center.
I was really happy when we talked
with an astronaut and he told us
about all the information on life in
space and his experiences. I also
felt very nice when I interacted with
other friends and was able to know
about them and enjoyed a lot during
this trip. We also enjoyed a lot in
Universal Islands of Adventure and
Disney World. Not only did we have
fun but, we also learned a lot about
the American people and their daily
routines. I really had a great time in
USA.

Being a teacher of the English
language, I always appreciated
poetry written by many poets, but
never thought I could be inspired
to write poetry. This inspiration to
do so came to life, after seeing the
shades of green in the countryside,
the development in promoting
science in youth and making space
exploration fun.Our journey mentor,
Miss Arindita was exceptionally
patient, a wonderful coordinator of
tweaking the scheduled plans to fit
the groups needs. She is a storehouse
of History and gave us an insight into
nitty gritties of the background of
the places we were about to see. On
behalf of all 18 students and us two
teachers, we will be starting back
tomorrow richer in experience and
knowledge.
Nandita

The trip was enjoyable and
knowledgeable. The level of
comfort, care and patience offered
by Ms. Arindita at each point
increased the quotient of happiness
many folds. The lush green
countryside with huge lakes made
the view so picturesque. Disney
and Universal Studios charged
our emotions to the fullest. NASA
was a dream visit with a fantastic
view of the satellites and other
launch vehicles. The launch of the
Bangladesh satellite was simply
breathtaking. Washington, D.C.
and New York with its Freedom
tower and Ground Zero were true to
their projection - inspiring, infusing
reverence for the country and
larger than life. These memories
will be cherished forever.

Hello! I am Ajinkya Pawar studying

like playing basketball, badminton
and reading. EdTerra Edventures
took us on a trip to USA East Coast
st. I was mesmerized with the views
of Niagara Falls. Disney World and
Universal Studios were fascinating.
I greatly enjoyed the trip but
Disneyland and Universal Studios
were the highlight of my trip. In
India, we do not care about our
surroundings, but it is completely
different over there.They care about
nature and are charitable towards
their fellow beings. The fireworks
of Magic Kingdom were the best
moment in the journey which made
my journey truly special.
Hello! My name is Dharmee and I
can be described as a tomboyish
girl. I feel like the luckiest daughter
with the best parents because as
per me in my country, India, there
are millions of girls my age working
day and night to earn daily living
money. In this state of my country, I
got an opportunity to travel to USA,
all alone with only my friends. In
USA, EdTerra was like my mother
and our physical education teacher
was like a father who looked out for
us. At the beginning of our journey
we didn’t know each other due to
our age difference but by the end
we all became good friends. We
were all lucky as we were able
to watch a rocket launch from a
distance of 3-4 miles. This was an
incredible journey.
Hi! I am Divij Butte. I study in Class
7. I love reading and learning about
flying machines. It was a marvellous
but unfortunately short journey to
USA, the only superpower in the
world. We visited Orlando, Niagara,
Washington, D.C. and New York.
Our wondrous journey kicked off
with the theme park capital of the
world, Orlando and continued to
KSC viewing a dazzling launch of the
Falcon heavy,then to the spectacular
Niagara Falls, then drove to the
capital during Police week and saw
various memorials of mighty figures
that shaped USA and lastly visited
the Big Apple to take a nibble. I
was mesmerized by the beauty and
warmth of this country. I am really
happy with EdTerra and wish them
best of luck for future tours.

located in Maharashtra, India. There
are many things that I like to do in
my free time. Some of them are
watching Television, taking rest and
reading books. EdTerra Edventures,
a student travel agency, organised
a trip to USA. I was very excited for
the trip and I hoped that my parents
would agree to send me because
it was my first international trip. I
went home and told everything to
my parents about the trip and my
parents agreed to send me on this
trip. I had an enjoyable trip to USA.
I have unforgettable memories and
I even made new friends. The trip’s
itinerary was excellently planned
and I enjoyed the trip a lot.
Hello! I am Nidhi, a 12 year old
student living in India and studying
in Pawar Public School.I love playing
handball and basketball fascinates
me the most. I am not a good
listener but a good speaker. This
trip was situated in United States
of America, where we were going
to Orlando, New York, Washington,
D.C. and Niagara Falls. My dad had
encouraged me to go because it
was an educational trip and it was
an amazing opportunity to see this
amazing world in such a young age.
In Orlando, we had lunch with an
astronaut, Brian Duffy and we were
also able to experience a shuttle
launch. The food of this country was
a little different but I think they tried
to make it a little better. I learned a
lot and I think it was a fabulous trip.
Hey guys! I am Semantika and I
visited the United States of America
and I am still in Class 8. Ever since
words started coming from my
mouth my dream was to visit USA
and to learn the cultures, traditions
and history of this beautiful country.
Visiting the United States as a child
was a wonderful experience. We
were also lucky enough to see a live
rocket launch. The magical parade
at Disney’s Magic Kingdom left our
mouths open and the Hulk Coaster
in Universal Studios terrified us. I
could go on and on about the tour
but I would like to thank the people
who worked behind the scenes.
Thank you EdTerra!

EdTerra organized a trip to the East
Coast of USA. I was really looking
forward to this trip. On the first
day of Orlando, we went to Disney
World. The most special thing was
the fireworks and one of the most
memorable things was drinking
Butter beer. I was also very lucky as
we were able to watch a live rocket
launch. I learnt a brilliant lesson that
‘Failure isn’t an option’. I will always
apply it in my life. And the other
amazing thing is that though we may
have come from different schools
but ignoring that, we came together
and worked like a team. I think this
quote is true,‘Together we can make
a difference’.

Hello! I am Sristi Thakkar of Class
10. I like cooking and I am a good
speaker. We went on a trip to the
United States of America. It was my
first visit so I was excited as well as
worried about being alone or not
being responsible enough about my
belongings without the presence of
my parents. Instead, I discovered
a whole lot not only about USA, but
also about me. For example, I am
much more social and responsible
than I thought I was. Our group was
lucky enough to watch a real life
shuttle launch at KSC which was one
of my favourite sights. I also loved
Manhattan, Orlando and especially
viewing the real life space shuttle,
Atlantis. Washington and Niagara
Falls were memorable too.
Yash

Hello guys! I am Yash Ashtekar and
I am currently studying in Class 9. I
do not like to play any type of sports
but I love travelling, listening to
music and reading books. I am very
interested in NASA and other things
related to engineering. Therefore
it was a must to enrol on the trip to
East Coast of USA. When we first
went to Orlando, I couldn’t notice
the difference between India and
USA because of the climate. But soon
after seeing the behaviour of the
people here I thought differently.
At Kennedy Space Center we
were very lucky to view an actual
spacecraft launch. The rest of the
short journey was also equally
delightful. I enjoyed this trip very
much and I look forward to any other
trip organised by EdTerra.

expectations for this trip. This tour
was a combination of adventure

super power, I was surprised when

well as very kind and smiling faces
enjoying precious life. EdTerra

I am Arnav from PPS Dombivali and
I like writing stories about places
in ancient times like ancient Greek,
Rome and Africa. On this trip we
learnt how to be respectful towards
fellow human beings.In India,we are
taught by our elders to be respectful
to others but there are some people
who are rude and disrespectful. In
USA, the rules are respected and
followed strictly, and if we start
respecting and following rules even
our country would someday turn
into a progressive country like USA.
There were some tough times but
despite that the trip was amazing.
I would like to thank EdTerra for

The most beautiful thing that I
liked in USA was the Niagara Falls.

about going on this trip. My mind
was split fifty- fifty, fifty percent to
go and fifty percent not to go. When
I told my father that we are going
to USA my father was very happy.
My father encouraged me to go
on this journey and on 8th May we
flew by Emirates to USA. We visited

When I got the news of going to USA
I was really excited.When I saw the
fees, I thought my parents would not
allow me, so I didn’t show them the

When I submitted the cheque I got
to know that there was going to be

my first time, I got really nervous
but thankfully I got selected. When
it was time to go I was feeling very
happy, but when I got to the airport
I felt lonely so I called my parents.
There was a connecting flight and it
felt good to feel the sunlight while
we were up in the air. There were
many cars on the road and the
roads were plain and clean with no
potholes. The trip was packed, but I
enjoyed a lot.

We ended our journey with a visit to

no matter what tragedy we face, the

it was one of the most fun-filled and
