Research Career
Areas of Research Experiences:
I have experience in two main research areas. The first is the production and nitrogen (N) cycling in
farming systems and is mainly associated with the development of mitigation strategies for ammonia
(NH3) and greenhouse gaseous emissions from farming systems and improve crop N utilization after the
fertilizer field application. Within this context, I specialize in arable land management and agricultural
gaseous emissions.
The second area is the use of agro-nano-technology to improve crop yield, nutrient utilization and
soil health. Besides, I have experiences in crop production, nutrient management planning, crop post-
harvest management and improvement of crop nutrient utilization as well as soil fertility.
Research Interests:
- Use of nanotechnology to improve crop yield and quality.
- Options to mitigate GHG and ammonia emissions from farming systems.
- Developing flux techniques for ammonia and nitrous oxide emissions.
- Developing an emission based regulation model at farm level, air quality assessment methods and
technology.
