Bosnia and Herzegovina is a country located in Southeastern Europe bordering Croatia and the Adriatic Sea. It has a population of around 3.8 million people and its capital and largest city is Sarajevo. The country has experienced a long and turbulent history including being annexed by Austria-Hungary in 1908, World War 1, World War 2 where thousands of Serbs, Jews and Romani people were killed, and the Bosnian War in the 1990s following the breakup of Yugoslavia. The country is now composed of two entities, the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Republika Srpska.
