Surfing is a water sport where riders stand on a surfboard to ride waves towards the shore. There are two basic types of surfboards - shortboards less than 2.1 meters and longboards greater than 2.75 meters. The basic surfing maneuvers include taking off on the wave, bottom turning to escape the breaking wave, cutting back with a 180 degree turn to reapproach the wave, reentry by turning 180 degrees back into the wave, and tubing by sliding within the barrel of the breaking wave. More advanced maneuvers include floats, airs by launching into the air, 360 degree rotations, and snaps which are abrupt cutbacks.

4. SURFING
• Surfing is a surface water sport in which the surfer rides a surfboard
on the crest and face of a wave which is carrying the surfer towards
the shore. Waves suitable for surfing are found primarily in the
ocean, but are also sometimes found in lakes and rivers, and also in
manmade wave pools.

• Within the surf "table" or surf itself, there are two basic categories depending on
the size and type of table:

TAKE OFF
Take Off: The first move made ​by surfers: is when you

• Tube: consists of sliding on the tube that creates the wave breaking. This is considered the
Queen of the Surf maneuver because of its difficulty and showmanship. It's the perfect wave
and dreamed of by all surfers. A place where you can experience these waves is in Cabo
Blanco, Peru

15. Air (or Air): the name given to any maneuver that results in a
take-off of water and is therefore in the air. There are different air
which are distinguished by the "grabs" (ways to hold the table with
his hands in the air in front, behind, with both hands at once ...-) or
movement that makes the surfer the air (one of the most spectacular
is the "air-360" in which the surfer performs a 360 degree rotation in
the air.
