Unit 28 - Production Schedule

I. PRE-PRODUCTION
Pre-production will last a total of three weeks starting on February 23rd and ending
approximately on March 16th 2017. The two locations we need to film can be sourced
easily within a week. In the meantime we will be hiring the rest of the crew we need by
following recommendations and talking to contacts we already have.
During the second week of pre-production we will finalise the script and begin to
audition actors for the roles. The majority of the paperwork such as release forms and
health and safety reports will be completed during this time.
In the last week before the shoot, the schedule will be tweaked where necessary until
the final call sheets are ready to be made and delivered to the cast and crew. The
director and producer will have frequent meeting during this time to establish what
exactly will need to be filmed when and how it will be done in accordance to the shot
list.
Equipment will be picked up a day before the shoot and kept with our producer. We
intend to shoot the trailer on a Canon 7D which will be purchased by Dylan Cheesman.
II. PRODUCTION
It will be the responsibility of the director and producer to ensure that the film is
recorded on time and within schedule. The shoot will begin on March 20th and end on
March 22nd2017. We will work for a maximum of three hours a day over 2 days.
We will save valuable shooting time by using the same camera set up when filming all
of the scenes in the theatre location as the shots will not require any variety in camera
angles or heights. The stunts will be time consuming, as we will require a multitude of
different shots to capture the dramatic atmosphere we need. The stunts are not
dangerous so after a short rehearsal the actors should be equipped to perform them
safely.

III. POST-PRODUCTION
The first edit of the trailer will begin on 24th March 2017 and will take a day to
complete. The edit will be done on a MacBook Pro using Final Cut Pro X and the voice
over will be completed using Logic Pro X.
The soundtrack will be sourced from a contact that provides copyright free music and
will be in the editors possession by the time the edit starts. The final delivery of the
trailer will be expected to be ready by 25th March 2017, which leaves three days before
our deadline.
In total, the pre-production will take three weeks, production two days, and post-
production a day. Allowing a few days for contingencies the whole production process
for the ‘The Last Day’ trailer will take less than a month.
