Everything we use is the result of economic activity across three sectors: primary, secondary, and tertiary. The primary sector covers extraction of raw materials through agriculture, livestock, fishing, and mining. The secondary sector converts natural materials into manufactured products through industries like food, steel, chemicals, transportation, and energy generation. The tertiary sector provides services in areas like tourism, healthcare, education, and transportation. Europe has a highly developed economy, with 10% of the world's population and 30% of its wealth, due to productive agriculture, high-technology industry, and strong commerce, business, finance, tourism and transportation sectors.
