   Decade:          A period of ten (10 ) years


   Century:         A period of one hundred (100) years


   BC/AD:           A time system used to measure events from the birth of Christ


         BC:        Before Christ – (all of the years before Jesus was born)


         AD:        Anos Domini – “In the year of our Lord” – (all the years after Jesus was
                    born)


         CE:
                    Common Era – the new term used to represent the “AD” time

                    “BCE” – represents “before common era"
