This document provides a modern perspective on the Agile Manifesto by examining how the technology and business landscape has changed since 2001. It notes that software is now ubiquitous, complexity has increased in products and teams, and projects still fail at a high rate. It then analyzes each tenet of the original Manifesto, arguing that some need to evolve to account for tools now enabling interactions and processes being more mature. The key idea is that individuals/interactions and processes/tools should be considered combined rather than prioritized over each other as the Manifesto states. This provides a framework to update agile principles for today's environment.

IBM Digital Experience 2015 - APPLICATION MODERNIZATION IN THE DIGITAL EXPERI...John Head
Application Modernization is the hottest buzzword in the IT world today. For many, it means the migration and
transformation of an old application to a modern platform and emerging technologies. With Digital Experience solutions, means much more. Application Modernization is about taking what consumers expect from cutting edge mobile experiences, websites and applications – Slick User Experience, Modern Workflow, Mobile Support, Social and Cloud, and applying it to the enterprise space. This session will look at these five areas and apply them to WebSphere Portal and the
IBM Digital Experience solutions. Examples will highlight how and why focusing each of these areas can have a positive impact and upside inside your organization and recommendations on how to apply Application Modernization.
Bringing Your Web Apps to IBM Digital ExperienceJohn Head
Presented at IBM Connect 2016. For too long, WebSphere portal has been seen as the realm of the back end developer with specialized Java skills. This has been a barrier to entry to the IBM Domino community. IBM has transformed the product to the IBM Digital Experience platform – and it’s not just a name change! With the inclusion of the Script Portlet & IBM Portal on Cloud option, it’s time to look again. We will show you how to integrate your XPages applications, Bluemix and even Microsoft SharePoint. We will show content re-purpose without migration. If you are looking for a single point of integration for all your apps, this session is for you!

The Future of Mobile Testing: Hybrid Code, Business Intelligence, and Device ...TechWell
All organizations doing mobile development have critical decisions in common—selecting which devices to support and how to test their products across the growing range of devices. With the segregation of device brands, organizations are forced to support at least three code bases (Apple, Android, and Windows). This makes it three times more challenging for testing organizations to keep up with the minimum required testing efforts for their products. Ardy Signey says that test leadership has to look beyond conventional testing strategies and become more innovative. Companies that already have a customer base using their mobile applications can rely on solutions like Google analytics or HPE analyzer to help them narrow the scope of devices. It’s much more difficult for organizations just starting mobile development to determine what devices their target markets will use and how customers will use their applications. These organizations require more innovative solutions including hybrid code, business intelligence, and mobile device farms. Ardy helps you become more effective in planning a mobile test strategy for the future.

Neuro-symbolic is not enough, we need neuro-*semantic*Frank van Harmelen
Neuro-symbolic (NeSy) AI is on the rise. However, simply machine learning on just any symbolic structure is not sufficient to really harvest the gains of NeSy. These will only be gained when the symbolic structures have an actual semantics. I give an operational definition of semantics as “predictable inference”.
All of this illustrated with link prediction over knowledge graphs, but the argument is general.
