8. Academic History
• In high school I liked to study art a lot but decided
that once I left for college that id do a level 2 in
agriculture as there was a stately home in my
village that needed someone to look after the
animals and keep the gardens and land in check
but I knew I didn't’t want a career in agriculture
so once id finished that course I came to york
college to study media as I knew it could lead to
lots of different jobs and would help me decide
hat I wanted to pursue as an adult.
9. Current Study
• I believe the course I am doing at the moment
has helped me learn and improve a lot of my
skills and ideas especially when using software's
like premier and InDesign as they were tools I
hadn't used yet and are really important for
media as its what most films, websites and
promotions are all made on.
• I think all this will be really useful things to have
learned as I will most definitely be using them in
the career path I would like to try go down.
10. The Future
• I would like to try do something related to
photography and videography as its what I
enjoy doing in my spare time and I find it
interesting to learn about and to do which I
think would be a great career path if I enjoy it.
• I think university would be helpful for this
career as ill be able to learn lots more but also
get to meet people in the same industry and
make connections for working.
11. Outside College
• Outside of college I do lots of my own
portfolio style work and I enjoy going out in
my local area or diving to places to take
photos or videos of things I see its usually just
making something out of what I can find as my
village isn't very photogenic or interesting.
• I also do lots of editing on my computer at
home of my own work using light room an
premier a lot.
12. Conclusion
• The reason I want to go to university is to learn
more about what I enjoy and make something
out of my work that I'm happy with which will
hopefully improve my skills and let me meet
interesting people.
• I think I'm a good candidate because I work
well when I enjoy the subject and id like to put
in the effort to learn as much as possible about
the uni course I choose.
13. Introduction
• I'm applying to go to university because I
would like to have a career in media mainly
with photography and maybe some filming of
some kind as its what I enjoy doing the most
as a hobby and think it would be a nice way
to work doing something I enjoy id mainly be
looking for a photography course or
something that has a bit of everything
including graphics filming and photo/print
work
