1. Andrea Perrow
Twitter Assignment
The four people I followed (plus the CI 350 class) were:
https://twitter.com/ChrisWejr (@ChrisWejr)
https://twitter.com/pernilleripp (@pernilleripp)
https://twitter.com/tomaltepeter (@tomaltepeter)
https://twitter.com/cybraryman1 (@cybraryman1)
& https://twitter.com/CI350class (@CI350class)
Reading the tweets from Chris Wejr, I was originally a little bored. But after clicking the links he
provided, I was more and more intrigued. Because he is a principal, I was interested in what he had to
tweet. Someday I want to be a principal of an elementary school. He tweets a lot about social issues,
when I appreciated. He also talked issues that I’m sure not many people are comfortable talking about
(discipline).
2. Pernille Ripp wasn’t as boring to begin with. I enjoyed reading her tweets about her classroom (she’s a
5th grade teacher and that’s the grade I’d like to teach). She always seems to respond to people and is
very opinionated and I loved that about her Twitter feed. She had innovative ways of learning and
always had ideas on how to use technology in the classroom. I also enjoyed her “What the Report Card
Doesn’t Tell” link.
3. Out of all the people I chose to follow, my least favorite to read was Tom Altepeter. I don’t mind when
people tweet about religion and their beliefs, but I have my twitter feed to be very specific and I don’t
follow anyone who I don’t like reading what they have to say. But Tom had some tweets as I was
scrolling that definitely annoyed me. But I also think it’s a good thing I didn’t like following at least one
person. That way I have a more rounded idea of who is out there to follow.
4. Jerry Blumengarten was the most active of the bunch, and it didn’t bother me much. He had a lot of fun
tweets like how to have fun with science a lot of cool modern ideas with technology. Even though his
picture is creepy (ha), he was genuinely a good follow.
5. Lastly was the CI350 class. This was the best of the bunch because I know exactly who was posting and
most of the tweets were relevant to me and my life (duh!). Having those links at my fingertips was nice
during the semester, and reading them were even better.
