Dog & Pony Lean: Pomp without PerformanceTom Curtis
Dog and Pony Lean-Apparent Lean Implementation that is far more show that dough. It is the area that looks fantastic but functions no better. It is the surface level implementation that did not involve the people actually doing the work. It is dangerous because it looks like Lean without fundamentals and sticking power.

Biochar is a very promising material for the "long term" storage of Carbon Dioxide, a greenhouse gas. It has been proved a very good soil amendment material, promoting the soil health, the microorganisms habitats, and water retention. This may be the perfect technology for the final disposition of solid waste, both from municipal and agricultural sources. Biochar is also a by-product in the 'green' renewable energy production. In my institution we are now studying the effects the molecular ecology of soil phosphorous mobilizing bacteria, where biochar might play an important role. Applications of biochar in engineered systems for bioremediation are also under development. Thanks to DGEST, ITS, and COECYT-Coahuila for the support.
I was assigned to follow 5 accounts on Twitter and write paragraphs about each of the accounts and what they're about. I was also asked to include snapshots of tweets I commented to or about.
1. For this Twitter assignment I was required to follow four people from the video that I watched
in class and our CI 350. The first person I chose to follow was Kyle Pace, I found that he very frequently
tweeted very interesting and potentially useful links about technology that and how to integrate it into
the classroom. I also followed Steven W. Anderson and he also would normally tweet links about
technology in the classroom and its uses. However I found the link to the article about the thousands of
free lesson plans on Google extremely useful. Another person that I choose to follow was Tom Altepeter
and I noticed that most of his tweets had to deal with Maranatha and Intercultural Responsiveness but
he also had so very interesting links as well. The final person that I followed was Jerry Blumengarten and
I found his tweets and skype and twitter very interesting and useful. Finally I followed CI 350 and I found
a whole bunch of very useful links concerning education and technology.
