Kesätyöntekijöiden rekrytointi kiivaimmillaan
Turun kauppakamarin jäsenilleen tekemän kesätyöntekijäkyselyn mukaan yritykset ja organisaatiot palkkaavat tulevana kesänä harjoittelijoita ja kesätyöntekijöitä aavistuksen vähemmän kuin viime vuonna. – 69 % prosenttia vastaajista ilmoitti palkkaavansa yhtä paljon, ja jopa 17 % vähemmän, kuin viime vuonna, kertoo kauppakamarin koulutus- ja työvoimavaliokunnan sihteeri, WTC-päällikkö Jaana Mäkikalli. Vastaavat luvut viime vuonna olivat 70% ja 13%. – Kaikkiaan 60 prosenttia vastaajista ilmoitti ylipäätään palkanneensa tai palkkaavansa kesätyöntekijöitä. Kymmenessä prosentissa vastaajaorganisaatioista päätöstä ei ollut vielä tehty.
Eniten vastaajat tarjoavat työpaikkoja ammattikorkeakouluopiskelijoille sekä ammatillisissa oppilaitoksissa opiskeleville. Suuri osa vastaajista tarjoaa kesätyöpaikkoja vain 18-vuotta täyttäneille. Julkisen sektorin vastaajat, jotka ovat pääasiassa kuntia, tarjoavat kesätöitä myös alle 18-vuotiaille.
Somea ei vieläkään hyödynnetä
Yleisimpänä rekrytointikanavana organisaatiot käyttävät oman henkilöstön verkostoja sekä palkkaavat saamiensa avointen hakemusten ja yhteydenottojen perusteella. Oppilaitosten kanssa tehdään yhteistyötä kesätyöntekijöiden rekrytoinnissa tänä vuonna enemmän kuin viime vuonna. – Sosiaalista mediaa rekrytointikanavana käyttää vain 9 % vastaajista, ja luku on jopa prosenttiyksikön pienempi kuin viime vuonna, ihmettelee Mäkikalli. – Myös aiempina kesinä tai kausiapulaisina ja kesätyöntekijöinä toimineet saavat monesta yrityksestä kesätöitä tänäkin vuonna.
Hieman alle puolet vastaajista kertoo, että talouden suhdannetilanne vaikuttaa paljon tai jonkin verran kesätyöntekijöiden palkkaamiseen, mutta lähes neljäsosa kertoo, että suhdannetilanne ei vaikuta lainkaan. Kesätyöntekijöiden palkkaamista rajoittavat sopivien kesätöiden puute sekä palkkaamisen kustannukset. Myös reilu viidennes vastaajista katsoo, että sopivia kesätyöntekijöitä ei ole tarjolla. Kesätyöntekijöiden rekrytointia voisi helpottaa yleisen taloustilanteen kohentumisen lisäksi taloudellinen tuki työnantajalle (esimerkiksi palkkatuki) sekä yhteistyön lisääminen oppilaitosten kanssa voisivat helpottaa kesätyöntekijöiden rekrytointia. Tulokset ovat yhtenevät viime vuotisen kyselyn kanssa.
