  Turkish army officer, revolutionary statesman,
  writer, and the first President of Turkey. He is
 credited with being the founder of the Republic
                      of Turkey.

   those not on speaking
   terms to patch up their
  differences. In this feast

politeness, respect, admiration or even devotion

 unsweetened, anise-
      flavored hard
alcoholic drink that is
   popular in Turkey.
It drinks with water.
Karnıyarık is a Turkish dish consisting of
eggplant stuffed with a mix of sautéed chopped
onions, garlic, black pepper, tomatoes, parsley
and ground meat.
