Tuas Power Generation Pte. Ltd. (TPG) has contracted Alstom to build a new 1 x 671 MW combined cycle power plant (CCP5) in Singapore using Alstom's KA26 technology. The plant will use natural gas as its primary fuel and diesel as backup. It will be built on the existing Tuas power station site and help improve generating efficiency by retiring an older steam turbine block. The contract includes engineering, procurement, construction, and a 6-year operations and maintenance agreement for the gas turbine. This project will provide clean, reliable power to meet Singapore's future needs.
