3. Introduction
In 2004, a big tsunami happened in the Indian
Ocean. This tsunami killed about 230,000 people.
This presentation will say about this tsunami and
tsunami warning system in order to establish it in
the India.

4. Background
The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center (PTWC) has
warned countries facing to the Pacific Ocean to
the danger of tsunami for more than 40 years. It
was considered that necessity of early tsunami
warning system since the tsunami in the India in
2004.

5. How the system works
When the earthquake happened at close the Indian
Ocean, its data is sent to The Pacific Tsunami
Warning Center (PTWC) in Japan and Hawaii. Their
two PTWC have to predict that size of the tsunami
and time of arriving the tsunami as soon as
possible. And their information is shared each Asian
countries.

6. How to inform
Government agency of nation need to inform to
people. Warning to people is told by a variety of
methods. For example, as a digital method, radio,
TV, SMS, email and so on. As an analog method,
megaphone, bell, loud voice and so on.

7. How to analyze
First, decision of earthquake time, location and
size. Second, Decision of the direction and size in
bottom of the sea. Third, The process of the
tsunami is simulated based on the bottom of the
sea features data.
The time of analyzing tsunami takes about 15 to 20
minutes, It depends on the place and state of the
earthquake.

8. Conclusion
I think that we need to share the system and
convey information efficiently in order to establish
earlier tsunami warning system.
