A tsunami is a series of huge waves that can be caused by large undersea earthquakes or underwater landslides and volcanic eruptions. On March 11, 2011, a massive tsunami hit Tohoku, Japan with some waves reaching heights of 133 feet, representing one of the worst natural disasters since World War II according to Japan's Prime Minister.
