Even the best partial denture frameworks do not fit perfectly in the mouth. The most common areas that interfere with proper seating of partial denture frameworks are under rests, rigid portions of direct retainers above the survey line, interproximal portions of major connectors, interproximal minor connectors, and shoulder areas of embrasure clasps. Framework evaluation involves checking the fit on the master cast, inspecting off the cast for defects or improper finishing, and using methods like disclosing media to identify areas of interference that can be adjusted.
