2. 1. Summary Deportation
• Donald Trump has made clear that he will be
deporting all the undocumented immigrants
aka “illegals”
• Many pundits have said it is impossible but
they have ignored the rules of summary
deportation. If Trump is President, there is
a chance he will adapt this concept to
undocumented workers.
3. 2. Denying Muslims Entry
to the United States
• Trump has confirmed many times
that he will actually deny entry of
Muslims to the United States. His
campaign has said it is only for
visitors, and temporary but his
original statement clearly says “all
Muslims” – so Muslims will be banned
according to Trump’s plan!
4. 3. Deputizing local
Authorities.
• In the past the Federal Government has
actually deputized many local enforcement
agencies to enforce immigration law. Many
state and counties have resisted and made
“safe haven” cities. With Trump as
President, we should expect more use of
such methods. They will be used not only
against undocumented immigrants but also
documented immigrants!
5. 4.President Obama Executive
Orders will be Reversed!
• Trump has clearly mentioned several
times that he will reverse President
Obama immigration executive orders.
Which means DACA, Prosecutorial
Discretions, STEM OPT, H4 EAD
among many others will be nullified and
removed. This means that a lot of work
permits (EAD) will no longer exist.
6. 5. H1B Visas Cut Off
• Trump has “flip-flopped” on H1Bs
probably because he himself uses
H1B visa for his models (modeling
agencies). We can easily assume that
he will give preferences to ‘Models’
rather than tech-workers. So be
ready!
7. 6.OPT on Student Visas
will be gone.
• According to Trump immigrant plan,
foreign students (F1 visas) graduating
from the United States, should not be
eligible for any work permit (EAD). He is
planning to cut off the OPT and CPT for
all. This means that F1 visas will no longer
be eligible to get experience or work in
the United States.
8. 7.NAFTA will be gone!
• The North American Free Trade
Agreement (NAFTA) between the
US, Canada and Mexico. The NAFTA
is what gives us TN visas and some
other investor visas. If the NAFTA
is gone so will those visas!
9. 8.Citizenship Birthright!
• Trump has always made a distinction on
Birth Rights. He did so for President
Obama and lately for Senator Ted Cruz.
We can properly assume that citizenship
by birth laws will be changed. There might
be no longer a citizenship by birth the way
we know it just like UK and some other
countries!
10. 9.Infinite Detentions!
• Trump has advocated that he will put
more people in Guantanamo Bay.
Previous Republican President Bush
signed that “enemy combatants” can
be detained indefinitely without trial.
Trump might use such measures on
undocumented and Muslim
immigrants!
11. 10.The Building of the
famous US-Mexican Wall!
• Trump is priding himself on building a
wall between Mexico and the United
States. The US- Mexico borders
have always been a gateway for not
only Mexicans but other Refugees
who are seeking the protection under
Asylum. Trump’s idea will have a huge
human toll!
12. Conclusion
• While some of Trump’s proposition
might be unconstitutional, the ideas
if drafted properly and through
President’s executive power might
make Trump the first President in
decades to drastically change the US
immigration laws and in a radical
ways!!!!
