neurship in technology gets a boost
alter IT companies*extwid support to
such ventures. UST Global has taken
up the lead In supporting companies
registered with Trivandrum Tech
nolodge, an incubation project in T n n ity
College o f Engineering located in the sub­
urbs o f Thiruvananthapuram city. Tboush
there has been instances o f IT companies
supporting student startups it is the first
tim e that IT companies are mentoring rural
entrepreneurs
Infinity I-abs, an innovation arm o f UST
Global w ill provide mentorship to startups
incubated at Trivandrum TVehnolodge. an
incubation project o f T rin ity College o f
E n gin eering, located in the suburbs o f
Thiruvananthapuram . which was opened
on Thursday Tbchnolodge is a project o f
state governm ent to promote IT in rural ar­
eas. It Is managed by Kerala State IT Infra­
structure Ltd which lends the brand name
to private entities that meet the criteria.
Though the project has com e up in Pira-
vom. Kannur. Muvattupuzhaand Knrtayam
it is the first tim e that an IT com pany is
suppornng it Lack of proper support en vi­
ronment led to the closure o f many Tech-
nolodge projects

having a team o f 5 each. “ We have been pro­
moting entrepreneurship am ong our fac­

provides mentorship besides helping them
w ith the lab facilities requ ired for th eir
work. We want the college to be the one stop

tu rin g lab facilities, technical services,
smart space and mentorship. The startup
centre w ill be open 24x7 The office space
and facilities are available for a rent o f Rs
5,000 per month for first year of operation,
