Trichogramma brassicae is a species of parasitoid wasp that lays its eggs inside the eggs of lepidopteran hosts. It is yellow or yellow and black in color, with red eyes and a compact body. The female wasp lays 1-2 eggs inside a host egg, and the larvae consume the host egg until emerging as adult wasps 7-10 days later. Over 50 wasps can emerge from a single host egg. Trichogramma brassicae is commonly used in biological control and can target over 200 pest moth species across various crops.
