This document discusses evidence that the modern nation of the Netherlands can be identified with the ancient Biblical tribe of Zebulon. It provides several points of comparison between descriptions of Zebulon in the Bible and characteristics of the Dutch people and Netherlands: 1) The name Zebulon means "dwelling" which reflects the Dutch emphasis on home and cosiness. 2) Biblical passages prophesy that Zebulon would dwell by the sea and be a haven for ships, matching the Netherlands' coastal location and major ports. 3) Moses said Zebulon would "suck of the abundance of the seas," fitting the Dutch history of fishing, whaling, trade. 4. ZEBULUN BACKGROUND
Zebulon was a younger brother of Reuben, and little information is provided about
Zebulon in the Bible. Zebulon formerly lived in the area west of the Sea of Galilee.
The Bible gives us a very revealing clue concerning their identity in the modern
world. In fact, it is uncannily accurate in describing one modern European nation.

 Genesis 49:13 gives this short but meaningful clue regarding the latter day
location of the tribe of Zebulon:

6.  A dictionary definition of the word
"HAVEN" includes the alternate meanings "any sheltered, safe place;
refuge,“ and "A PORT, HARBOR."
 The Bible prophesied that the Zebulonites would inhabit an area that was a
"haven" (i.e. a "shelter" or "refuge") for ships from the sea.
 Since the Israelites migrated into Europe from Asia, we obviously need to
look for a European nation which is on a seacoast and is
"sheltered from the sea."

7.  Many readers will know which nation in Europe was:
"bought back from the sea" via its famous dikes.

That nation is the Netherlands (Holland).
Much of Holland's land is quite literally
"sheltered from the sea"
via its dike system, so the prophetic description of a
"haven of the sea" is strikingly apt.

include a major harbor facility.

Indeed, the Amplified Bible translates this phrase as
"a landing place for ships."
Does the Dutch nation satisfy this requirement?

Zebulon gives even more support to this viewpoint. Moses prophesied:
"...of Zebulon he said...they shall suck of the abundance of the seas and

from Israel or not.

Zebulon seems to have been also located (in part) further east where there once
existed a kingdom called ZABULISTAN
which was named after a people who evacuated the region sometime prior to the
moslem period.

encompassed Sakastan.
It had been colonised by the Scythian hero called 'ZOHAK',
whose name is actually a variant of ISAAC.

Here we find Zebulon known as Zabulistan in the very area that the Bible says they

Dutch settled in New Amsterdam (New York), Surinam, the West Indies, the
Cape and the Dutch Indies. Many Dutch place names can be found.

have come into existence by dredging the layers of sand and gravel.

Behind the sand dunes there are 'geestgronden'.

So even our tulip fields are linked to the abundance of the sea and treasures hid in
the sand, as the North Sea brought both the clay and the sand.

There is a bond between Judah, Issachar and Zebulun.
They are the three youngest sons of Leah.
The three tribes camped for 40 years in brotherly fashion in the camp of
Judah (Num 9:1-9).
Holland became independent in 1581 and over the past 430 years Jews
have lived in relative peace among the Dutch, as long as we were independent.
