8. Foreward
It is a great pleasure to write this foreword for the book entitled,
‘Trends in Library Technology & Marketing of Information’.
I am happy that the editor of this book has compiled 26 papers
where the authors have spent a great deal of efforts to write it.
The library which is also called as knowledge bank have
transformed from the traditional mode of delivering services to a
new trend of accessibility. The book reflects the use of new
technology for delivering effective services to the users. Besides,
it also highlights the role that library can play in marketing the
information product to reach out the users.
The book comprises of three different sections i.e., ICT, RFID
and Marketing Management. The study of Library Science has
gained tremendous significance all over the world. Therefore, I
am sure this book will be of immense help to students, research
scholars and for the teachers.
