howhe looks.

Synopsis.

filmshowinghowboredandalone thisguyisfeeling,perhapsthereisamontage of himtryingto do
workat hisdesk,hisphone outonthe table withhimconstantlycheckingbutneveranynotifications
showingup,we see himslowlylosinghissaintlyandgetmore andmore bored.We thensee him
bringingitupto his family,forhisneedforafriendandhiscripplinglonelinesswhere hisfamilyjust
ignore anddon’tlistentohim,hislittle brother offerssome badadvice whichhe thencompletely
ignores.He thenmeetsthisnewpersonthroughsomethingIamnot quite sure how yetbutthey
become close friendsoverashort amountof time.
Act 2-In act twoit will showthe twofriendsbecomingactual friendsandclose friendsatthat there
will be overthe topmontagesof the two doingdifferentactivity’s –there will be littleactual dialog
duringthe act as itis montage of thembecomingfriends.Iwantthe montage to be a constantshot
panningfrom lefttoright andthento blackand thento a new activityandsoon, so on.Act twowill
endwiththe lonelyguylookingonhisphone andona map seeingthathisfriendisnearby,sohe
goesoverto findhim- whenwalkingover- the cameraisfollowinghisfeetwhile doingthisisit
switchingbetweentwomenfightingandstrugglingwhilethe cameraslowingclimbinguptoreveal
whois struggling,stillswitchingbetweenthe two.Whenthe lonelypersonarrivestohisfriendwe
see hisfriendstandingover adeadperson.

Act 3- Duringact three we see the lonelyguyata crossroads tryingfacinga problem, whetherhe
shouldturnhimoverto the police whichisthe optionthathe shoulddefiantlydo,orhelpfindthe
body.We see himas he isso lonelyhe justdecidestohelphimfindthe body, thisiswhere there a
comical conversationaboutwhyhe wouldkill someoneandhe just responds withsomethingstupid
whichwill make nosense toanyone else buthim. Forthe restof act three we see the twotryingto
hide thisbodyinbizarre waysand the struggle of carryingthisbodyeverywhere.Iwanta shotfrom
the endof the corridorof the two carryingthe victimone on the arms and one withthe legspastthe
corridor.It endswiththe twobeing caughtand the friendbeingkilled,perhapsIamnot quite sure
howI want the filmtoendyetas I donot know whatwill be mosteffective
Target Audience.
The target audience formyfilmwithbe 15 + howeverIdo notbelieve thatthe youngeraudience will
be able to understandall of the jokesproperlyasitcouldbe too dark or justtoo oddand strange
behaviour.The mainaudience wouldbe 16-andabove,peoplewhoare intoocomedyand other
things.Icouldreach my targetaudience byputtinga traileronYouTube tryingto gainattentionfor
the film.Icouldalsocreate postersandtake clipsfromthe filmandpostthemon social media’sto
gainmore attention,thiswouldhitmytargetaudience astheyyouthandyoungadultstypicallyuse
social mediathe most.
Form and Style
The form and style thatI wantto followwouldbe the directorstyle andeditingstyleof EdgarWright
as I love all of hiswork andhow he has done stuff.Iwantquickshotsfast and interesting,new ways
to shotthingsrather thanoldand boringways.I wantto include alot of panningshotsfor the
montages.Iwill be usingspecial lensestogetthe effectthatIwant andam intendedtodofor the
filmtoget the mostviewacross,dark and dull until he meetsthe friendwhere he changestobe
happyfor a while,andsoitwill geta qualitypicture.
Marketplace
I believeif filmedcorrectlyandthe scriptisgoodenoughthatit coulddo quite well infilmfestivals
as it isa newconceptand I do not believe thatdarkhumourhasbeenproperlyutilisedyetandthere
isa lotof areato work withanda lotaudienceswantingitasitis a populargenre.The actual market
for thiswill be done forYouTube anduploadedtothere,thisisnotfor personal gainthisisjustso
people canviewmyfilmand enjoyit.If thisfirstfilmgoescorrectlythere isachance fora sequel if
the two successfullyhide the bodyandgetawaywithit.
