This document outlines the plot of a short horror/thriller film called "The Devil is Calling". It will follow two friends, Joe and Harry, where Harry starts to act strangely and becomes possessed by a demon. Harry's strange behavior escalates until he kidnaps and attempts to sacrifice Joe to the devil. The film will end on a cliffhanger where Harry wakes up from what he thinks was a dream about killing Joe, only to discover it was reality. The filmmakers believe this plot is unique and will intrigue audiences by mixing horror and thriller elements and ending without resolution. It will be filmed at a family home and abandoned building to portray the story in a realistic modern setting.

3. Why this name?
We chose this title because we believe it is quite fitting to the plot of the story and
we believe before we even explain the idea, you can make an assumption of what
is in the film.
Also the title seems quite simple and also to us it came across quite mysterious
and slightly edgy, which we think is a good look for our film.

4. Our idea
The genre of our short film will
be a horror thriller film that is
based upon the supernatural
and the devil.
The film will include many horror
aspects such as blood and scary
looking villains.
As well as this there will be some
suspense moments which will
display the thriller side to the film,
with maybe a few jump scares to
set the mood even more...

5. The idea
The film will be set in a normal environment to
portray the film as a reality and not fiction, it will
include two friends who spend a lot of time
together; playing xbox ect.
One of the friends shows signs of a personality
change and acts very strange around the other ,
as well as acting up to his mother.
The first sign of any horror will be when one of
the friend is caught talking to somebody, who is
not there to the audience or the other
characters.
More events occur like this till the friend turns
into a murderer and a spiritual mess. Possessed
by a demon, he goes and kidnaps his friend who
who attempts to sacrifice to the devil.
To add suspense to the film, the possessed kid
wakes up from what he presumed was a dream
where he killed his friend only to discover what
he thought was a dream is reality, which
concludes the film, leaving it on a cliff hanger.

6. The film will be set in modern day times and
will be filmed in two locations. A normal
family home and an abandoned building. We
have easy access to both of these places and
already know where to find the abandoned
building as we have visited it a few times
already.

7. Main characters
Victim.
The victim of the film will be a main character.
He is one side of the friendship i have previously
mentioned. This character's name is joe and he
will play the role of a victim in the whole film.
This character's aim is to attempt to escape from
his friends plans before it is too late and he has
to pay the ultimate price. His life
Villain.
The villain will also be a main character in this
film.
He plays the other side to the friendship, he
shall be named Harry.
His aim is to sacrifice the victim to the devil no
matter what the cost. He will make the film have
a more scary edge to it.

8. There will be one more character in the film, Harry’s
mother, but her part is only minimal and is only seen as a
side character.

9. AudienceThe intended audience of the short film will be for both genders. This is because I think everyone will want to watch this. Usually the
genre of this film (thriller horror) is commonly watched by couples so, that’s why both genres are being targeted. The age for my
audience will not have a limit but will have a minimum age, which is 16 year olds. If I was to chose a maximum it would be in the region
of 35 to 40 year olds as people older do not tend to watch a lot of films.

10. Why our idea is different.
The film we're creating has had some films that are of the same concept, however
our short film is completely different when it comes to the overall plot line. If we
were to compare the characters to other films then it is obvious they have similar
personality traits, however our characters follow a different route on how things
are dealt with and like I previously said, the plot and outcome to our film is unique.
It is a unique film because it includes horror aspects that have never had their own
film before, for example, a psychopath that still has friends, even though he has
strange attributes to him.
Also matching both a thriller and horror side to the film will make our film a must
watch to our target audience, as two of their favourite genres are morphed into
one.

The goal of the film is for people to watch the film and feel shocked by the end outcome. They will want to know what else
happens because the film ends on a cliffhanger with no disequilibrium. Also this film will intend to make the audience scared
but also intrigued as the plot of the film is going to be very interesting and it is never going to have a predictable scene
within it.
