Treatment for my TV Advert

1. Treatment for TV advert Fahim Zeb

2. Genre
• The genre I have chosen is human rights. More specifically the
right to vote for 16 and 17 year olds.
• 16 and 17 year olds are denied the right to vote in a democratic
country, this is unfair as it is their future in the hands of others.
• I decided to pick this as it is something I feel very strongly about.

3. Duration
• The duration of my TV advert will be roughly 30 seconds.
• To set up equipment such as camera, mic etc. It will take me five
minutes.
• To ensure that the surrounding area is safe to record in ,it will
take me another five minutes.
• To record it may take between an half hour to an hour. As I may
make mistakes or I may not be satisfied with the footage
• To edit my tv advert it will take at least an hour.

4. Archive Material
• In order to ensure that my documentary presents itself as formal
and legitimate, I will use material from the internet.
• I will make sure that the material used is relevant to topic or
subject.
• I will edit it into my tv advert when needed.
• I will limit the amount of footage I use from online, as I want my
tv advert to be original.

5. Content, Narrative, Location(s)
• I will be filming students aged 16 and 17 and ask them of their
views on the matter.
• Additionally I will record some extra footage of the street and
speed up the footage.
• I am going to question people on their views on the matter and ask
how we can take a step forward to ensure we do get the right to
vote. This will help to build on why we should be allowed to vote
• I will film in various locations. I will do my best in trying to record
in quiet areas. I will try and get people to come to the TV studio
and interview them there.

6. Equipment
• For my TV advert I will need various types of equipment such as:
• A camera
• A tripod
• A microphone
• And possibly a green screen – This will be used to edit in
backgrounds or sceneries.

7. Production Team
• I will need a:
• Director
• Cameraman
• Audio Technician
• Editor
• As I am working by myself, I will have to record and interview
people on my own.
• I may work with a group to help me record.

8. Price/budget
• There will be no budget, as everything that will be used will be for
free.
• I may spend a couple of pounds on props, however I could easilt
request for one from the college.
