Shaykh Fakhrud-Din Ibn ‘Asākir, may Allah have mercy upon him, said: Know, may Allah guide us and you, that it is obligatory upon every accountable person to knowingly believe that Allah is the only God in His Dominion.

- 1. 1 ْالْعقيدةْالْمرشدة الر ِهللا ِم ِْسبالر ِنٰـَ ْْحِيِح ٰاصطفى اذلين ِهِدباع ٰ ََلَع ٌمسالَو ٰكفىَو ِهلل ُحمدْلا ور ُصْنَم ِِبَأ ِخْيشلِل ،ِديِحْوَتلا ِِف ٌةلرسالرا ُدْبَعَرِكا ََسع ِنْب ِهللا ِةبَه ِنْب ن َسَحْلا ِنْب محمد ِنْب ِنٰـَ ْْح دىِق ْشَمِدال(555ـ ـه025)ـه َ ف ُ خْي َ الش َال َ ق: ِّهللا ُهَم ِّحَر َر ِّاك َسَع ُنْب ِّين ِّالد ُر ْ خ Shaykh Fakhrud-Din Ibn ‘Asākir, may Allah have mercy upon him, said: َاكَّيِّإَو ُهللا ا َ ن َد َ شْر َ أ ْم َ لْعِّإ Know, may Allah guide us and you, لَع ُب ِّجَي ُهَّن َ أىُم ِّل ُ ك َ كف َّ ل َ أْنَيْع َ لَم that it is obligatory upon every accountable person to knowingly believe َ أَّنَهللاَعَو َّزَجَو َّلِّاحِّف ٌدى ْ ل ُمِّكه، that Allah is the only God in His Dominion. َ خ َ ل ْ ال َقَع َ الِّب َم َ أْسهِّر ْ الُع ُ لِّوَّىَوالسْفِّلَّىَو ْ الَعْرَش ْ الَو ُ كْرِّسَّى، He created the entire world, the upper and lower, the ‘Arsh and Kursiyy, َوَم َّالسَوِّات َ ْ الَوْرَضَوَمايِّفِّها َمَوا َمَبْيَنُها َم، the heavens and earth, and what is in them and in between them. َجِّمُيع ْ ال َ خ َ لِّئِّقَم ْ قُهُرو َنوِّب ُ قْدهِّتَر، All the creation is subjugated by His Power. َ ل َ تَتَحَّر َ ذ ُكَّرِّإ ٌ ة َّ لِّبِّإ ْ ذِّنه، No speck moves except by His will.
- 2. 2 َسْي َ لَمَعَد ُم ُهِّبٌرِّفى ْ ال َ خ ْ لِّق َ لَو َ شِّرٌيكىِّف ُ ْ ال ْ لِّك He has no manager for the creation with Him, and has no partner in Dominion. َحى َ قيٌوم،ْ He is attributed with Life and is Qayyum. َْ ل َ ت ُ أخ ُ ذهَن ِّس ٌ ة َ لَو َ نْوٌم،ْ He is not seized by somnolence or sleep. ِّةَادَه َّ الشَو ِّبْي َ غ ْ ال ُمِّالَع،ْ He is the One Who knows about the unforeseen and what is evidenced by His creation ِّهْي َ لَع ى َف ْ خَي َ لَ شَىَءىِّفِّضْر َ ْ ال َ لَوىِّفَم َّالسآِّء،ْ Nothing on earth or in heaven is hidden from Him. He knows what is on land and in sea. ا َم ُم َ لْعَيىِّفاَه ُم َ لْعَي َّ لِّإ ة َ ق َرَو ْنِّم ُ ط ُ ق ْس َ ت ا َمَو ۚ ِّر ْحَب ْ الَو ِّرَب ْ ال َ لَوةَّب َحىِّف ِّضْر َ ْ ال ِّات َم ُ ل ُ ظ َ لَوب ْ طَر َ لَو َّ لِّإ سِّابَيىِّفينِّب ُم ابَت ِّك،ْ Not a leaf does fall but He knows about it. There is no grain in the darkness of earth, nor anything which is moist or dry but is inscribed in a clear Book.ْ ْ َ أَحــ َ اطِّب ُ كِّل َ شْىِّع ء ْ لا ًم،ْ His Knowledge encompasses everythingْ َّل ُ ك ى َص ْح َ أَوْى َ شاًد َدَع ء،ْ He knows the count of all things ِّرُي ا َ ِّل ٌالَّع َ فُيد،ْ
- 3. 3 He does whatever He wills. َ قُادٌر َ لَعىا َمَي َ شُاء He has the power to do whatever He wills. َ لُه ْ ال ْ لُكَو َ لُه ْ الَنِّغى، To Him is the Dominion and He needs none; َو َ لُه ْ الِّعز ْ الَوَب َ قُاء، To Him belong the Glory and Everlastingness. َو َ لُه ْ الُح ْ كُم ْ الَو َ قَضُاء، To Him are the Ruling and al-Qada' (the Creating). َو َ لُه ْ الْسَمآُء ْ الُحْسَنى، He has the Names of Perfection. َ لَدِّاف َ ِّل َعا َ قَضى، No one hinders what He decreed. َ لَوا َمِّن َ ِّل َعا َ أْعطى، No one prevents what He gives. َيْفَعُلىِّفُم ْ لِّكها َمُيِّرُيد، He does in His dominion whatever He wills. َوَيْح ُ كُمىِّف َ خ ْ لِّقِّهِّبا َمَي َ شُاء He rules His creation with whatever He wills. َ لَيْرُج َ ث وَواًاب َ لَوَي َ خِّع ُ اف َ قاًاب، He does not hope for reward and does not fear punishment.
- 4. 4 َسْي َ لع َ لْيِّهَحَ[ي ق ْ لَز]ُه ُم َ لَوَعْي َ لِّهُح ْ كٌم، There is no right on Him that is binding, and no one exercises rule over Him. َو ُ كْعِّن لَمةْنِّم َ ف ُهْضٌل، Every endowment from Him is due to His Generosity َو ُ ك ْ قِّن لَمةْنِّمُهَعْدٌل، and every punishment from Him is just. َُلَع ْفَي ا َّمَع ُل َ أ ْسُي َ لَو َنو ُ ل َ أ ْسُي ْم ُه He is not questioned about what He does, but they are questioned. َمْوُجٌودقَبَل ْ ال َ خ ْ لِّق، He is eternally existent before creating the creations. َسْي َ ل َ لهقْبٌل َ لَوَبْعٌد، He does not have a before or an after. His Existence is not preceded by the state of non-existence and is not subject to annihilation. َ لَو َ فْو ٌق َ لَو َ تْحٌت، He does not have an above or a below, َ لَوِّمَيٌين َ لَوِّشا َمٌل، a right or a left, َ لَو َ أا َمٌم َ لَو َ خ ْ ل ٌ ف، an in front of or a behind, [The six directions (i.e. above, below, right, left, in front of and behind) do not contain Him.]
- 5. 5 َ لَو ُ كل َ لَوَبْعٌض، He is not a body consisted of particles nor is He a constituent part of a body. a whole or a part. َو َ ل َ قُيُالَمتى َ كَان It must not be said: When was He? َو َ ل َ أْيَن َ كَان Or where was He? َ لَو َ كْي َ ف َ كَان َ لَوَم َ كَان، Or how is He? He is eternally existent and eternally place did not exist . َنَّكو َ ْ ال ْ كَوَانَوَدَّالز َرَّبا َمَن، He created the universe and willed for the existence of time. َ لَيَت َ قُدَّيِّبَّالزا َمِّن َ لَوَيَت َ خُصَّصِّب َ ْ ال َ كِّان He is not bound to time and is not designated with place. َ لَوَي ْ ش َ غ ُ لُه َ ش ْ أَع ٌنْن َ ش ْ أن، His management of one matter does not distract Him from another َ لَوَي ْ لَح ُ قهَوَهٌم، Delusions do not grasp His Reality, َ لَوَي ْ كُفِّنَتهَع ْ قٌل، and He is not encompassed by the mind. He is not conceivable in the mind. َ لَوَيَت َ خُصَّصِّبِّالذِّهِّن، He cannot be imagined in the self
- 6. 6 َ لَوَتَيَم َّ ثِّف ُلىَّالنْفِّس، nor encompassed by delusions. َ لَوَتَيَصَّوُرىِّف ْ الَوَهِّم، َ لَوَتَي َ ك ُ فَّيىِّف ْ الَع ْ قِّل، َ ل َ ت ْ لَحُه ُ ق َ ْ الْوَهُام َ ْ الَو ْ ف َ كُار، He is not grasped with delusions or thoughts َسْي َ لُير ِّصَب ْ ال ُيعِّم َّالس َو ُهَو ٌءْى َ ش هِّل ْ ثِّم َ ك◙.ـها Nothing resembles Him in any way, and He is attributed with Hearing and Sight. [Surat ash-Shura: Ayah 11]
