Google Pay)
● Cash
● Check
● Credit card
● Electronic funds transfer (EFT)
● In kind
● Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, or Venmo
13. Payment methods available for your
transactions
When you enter a recurring donation or pledge payment, choose one of
these autoprocessing payment methods:
● Saved Payment
● None (use this if they send a check payment to you)
● Credit card
● Electronic funds transfer (EFT)
Note: Donors see your organization’s name on their bank statements for ACH, EFT, and credit card
transactions.
For credit card transactions, the prefix "NPO" appears before your organization name, which means
"nonprofit organization."
14. What you need to know:
● With Bloomerang Payments, Venmo,
Paypal, Apple Pay or Google Pay
are options for your online giving
forms
● Note: Donors can use PayPal and
Venmo to pay for one-time
donations on online giving forms,
but not for recurring donations or
pledges. PayPal and Venmo
payment methods are not saved to
constituent accounts in Bloomerang.

Appears if the constituent account has a saved credit card, EFT, Apple Pay, or
Google Pay payment method.
15. What you need to know:

17. What you need to know:
● If the donor has made a gift of goods
or services rather than money, select
In Kind as the method.
● We recommend entering $0.00 in the
Amount field and recording the
estimated value for the gift in the Fair
Market Value field. This prevents the
estimated value as being counted or
receipted as actual dollars. See Enter
In Kind Donations for more details.
● For receipting purposes, it's important
to provide a complete description. It is
the donors responsibility to assign a
value.

20. Be sure to end scheduled emails that are
acting receipts first!
21. If you select the
default auto
receipt, this is
what your donor
will see.
Default email receipt
22. Entered manually:
● Click the donation entry on the
constituent's timeline.
● Edit any of the information.
● Click Save.
Delete or Refund?
Refunding a donation keeps a record of
the original donation and adds a
refunded transaction to the constituent's
timeline. Deleting a donation erases the
donation record. Credit card transactions
can be refunded but not deleted.
Processed through your transaction
processor:
Need to edit locked fields on a
processed credit card or EFT
transaction? You will need to unlink the
transaction from your transaction
processor first. Read more about what
happens and how to unlink here:
Unlinking Transactions from Transaction
Processors.

23. You can assign the letter
(must be a Transaction
letter with the purpose of
Acknowledgement) and
then have it generate
automatically upon saving
the donation.
