2. TERMINATOR: GENESYS
HTTPS://WWW.YOUTUBE.COM/WATCH?V=JNU_JRPXS-0
The trailer starts with the golden gate bridge covered in clouds so we know
something already is not right as this is normally shown clearly through any
film that it is in but also makes it out like a normal day that the people have.
After this the bridge is then completely gone and destroyed to create an effect
that the world is ending as the colour of the picture is distorted and dull. It
then seems to mysterious as there is an establishing shot of lots of rockets
going in the air so the audience does not know what is happening. Also an
establishing shot of the Earth with the rockets attacking places to show
something isn’t right. Also the CGI of the Earth shows that it is happening at
the place where we live. There is also close ups of the antagonist which we
know as
3. AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON
HTTPS://WWW.YOUTUBE.COM/WATCH?V=DI3NCQDE5DO
The start of the trailer opens with an establishing shot of mountains and huge
buildings to show the location of where the film is. There is also a pleonastic
sound of the robots to show what the main quest of the film is and to insinuate
what the problem is and that they are the enemy. Not only this but there is
pyrotechnics of when the building explodes to show the film is going to have lots
of action with lots of CGI. This is also shown from the robots which are CGI to
make them look like the enemy so they stand out to humans and the Avengers. I
then shows the side shot of The Avengers to make them look as powerful as ever
to show that they are back and want people to come back and watch the film. In
addition, it then shows all The Avengers killing all the robots/aliens to attract the
audiences.
4. FANTASTIC FOUR
HTTPS://WWW.YOUTUBE.COM/WATCH?V=OO-VI_FDQWG
The opening sequence of the trailer starts with an establishing shot of New York to
show where the film is placed to attract other audiences. There is also a low angle
show of the table to make the table look longer than what it actually is this creates
an effect to make this look like an important meeting. We want to use this in our
opening sequence with also the men in the costumes of the suits. Not only this but
there is also a constant build up of the soundtrack so that the audience keeps
watching as they want to know what is going to happen. Furthermore there is a
utopia scenery as they seem to be in space and things are going wrong to keep the
audience watching and to attract Sci-Fi fans. Not only this but there is an extreme
long shot of a pulse of light behind in front of the Fantastic Four to show that they
are in power and have special powers. This is done by using CGI.
5. ANT MAN
HTTPS://WWW.YOUTUBE.COM/WATCH?V=QFOZWGLT1JM
The trailer starts with the people talking about the Ant man as it is not a one of
the top Marvel films not many people know what this film is about therefore
attracts other audiences who like the other Marvel films. There is also an over
the shoulder shot which I would like to use in my trailer as it is effective when
trying to understand the story more so the audience knows who the characters
are talking to. Not only this but there is also CGI of when the Ant man changes
to attract other audiences who like constant use of CGI which also creates an
effect on how much time the film took to make. It also come up with a title
saying “On July 17” which is when it is coming out which we want to use in our
opening sequence so people know when it is out.
6. THE HUNGER GAMES MOCKING JAY PART 2
HTTPS://WWW.YOUTUBE.COM/WATCH?V=N-7K_OJSDCQ
The trailer starts with a voiceover explaining what is happening in the film which gives the
audience a greater understanding of what is happening which we want to use in our trailer.
There then is a low angled wide shot of the main character to show that she has the most
power and is the protagonist in the film. This also makes her seem courageous as she is
walking out to lots of people shown from this low angled wide shot. There is also then an
establishing wide shot which shows how much the main character has power, of all these
people this makes her look strong from this establishing wide shot. There is then CGI used of
the black oil chasing the characters which is used through editing which makes the audience
feel nervous for the characters as they don’t want them to be caught and nobody has really
seen anything like this before so it comes as a shock towards the audience.
