This document summarizes an experiment on simulating a toxic gas detection and alert system using Arduino. The system uses sensors to detect gases emitted from plastics like propane, butane, alcohol, hydrogen and carbon monoxide. When a gas is detected, the Arduino activates a fan for ventilation and sends an SMS alert via GSM to authorized personnel. The simulation software Proteus and Arduino IDE were used to test the system. The sensors provide input and activate based on detected gases. The fan and LED provide output indications. The system quickly detects gases and sends alerts for safety.
