Adaptive Sliding Piece Selection Window for BitTorrent SystemsWaqas Tariq
Peer to peer BitTorrent (P2P BT) systems are used for video-on-Demand (VoD) services. Scalability problem could face this system and would cause media servers not to be able to respond to the users’ requests on time. Current sliding window methods face problems like waiting for the window pieces to be totally downloaded before sliding to the next pieces and determining the window size that affects the video streaming performance. In this paper, a modification is developed for BT systems to select video files based on sliding window method. Developed system proposes using two sliding windows, High and Low, running simultaneously. Each window collects video pieces based on the user available bandwidth, video bit rate and a parameter that determines media player buffered seconds. System performance is measured and evaluated against other piece selection sliding window methods. Results show that our method outperforms the benchmarked sliding window methods

Youtube video download using python project report.pdfKamal Acharya
In order to form a clear sketch of this project, here's a brief introduction of the features and scope of YouTube Video Downloader. This project consists of three modules which are inter-linked to each other. Each of the above modules has certain specific task to perform. Tkinter is the standard GUI library for Python. Python when combined with Tkinter provides a fast and easy way to create GUI applications. Tkinter provides a powerful object- oriented interface to the Tk GUI toolkit. Tkinter provides various controls, such as buttons, labels and text boxes used in a GUI application. These controls are commonly called widgets.Pytube library makes the video downloading very easy. Create the object of the YouTube module by passing the link as the parameter. Then, get the appropriate extension and resolution of the video. You can set the name of the file as your convenience, in another case original name will be kept. After that, download the file using the download function which has one parameter which is the location where to download the file. Python, this task is very easy. Few lines of code will download the video from YouTube for you.

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).

LF Energy Webinar: Electrical Grid Modelling and Simulation Through PowSyBl -...DanBrown980551
Do you want to learn how to model and simulate an electrical network from scratch in under an hour?
Then welcome to this PowSyBl workshop, hosted by Rte, the French Transmission System Operator (TSO)!
During the webinar, you will discover the PowSyBl ecosystem as well as handle and study an electrical network through an interactive Python notebook.
PowSyBl is an open source project hosted by LF Energy, which offers a comprehensive set of features for electrical grid modelling and simulation. Among other advanced features, PowSyBl provides:
- A fully editable and extendable library for grid component modelling;
- Visualization tools to display your network;
- Grid simulation tools, such as power flows, security analyses (with or without remedial actions) and sensitivity analyses;
The framework is mostly written in Java, with a Python binding so that Python developers can access PowSyBl functionalities as well.
What you will learn during the webinar:
- For beginners: discover PowSyBl's functionalities through a quick general presentation and the notebook, without needing any expert coding skills;
- For advanced developers: master the skills to efficiently apply PowSyBl functionalities to your real-world scenarios.
Connector Corner: Automate dynamic content and events by pushing a buttonDianaGray10
Here is something new! In our next Connector Corner webinar, we will demonstrate how you can use a single workflow to:
Create a campaign using Mailchimp with merge tags/fields
Send an interactive Slack channel message (using buttons)
Have the message received by managers and peers along with a test email for review
But there’s more:
In a second workflow supporting the same use case, you’ll see:
Your campaign sent to target colleagues for approval
If the “Approve” button is clicked, a Jira/Zendesk ticket is created for the marketing design team
But—if the “Reject” button is pushed, colleagues will be alerted via Slack message
Join us to learn more about this new, human-in-the-loop capability, brought to you by Integration Service connectors.

Kubernetes & AI - Beauty and the Beast !?! @KCD Istanbul 2024Tobias Schneck
As AI technology is pushing into IT I was wondering myself, as an “infrastructure container kubernetes guy”, how get this fancy AI technology get managed from an infrastructure operational view? Is it possible to apply our lovely cloud native principals as well? What benefit’s both technologies could bring to each other?
Let me take this questions and provide you a short journey through existing deployment models and use cases for AI software. On practical examples, we discuss what cloud/on-premise strategy we may need for applying it to our own infrastructure to get it to work from an enterprise perspective. I want to give an overview about infrastructure requirements and technologies, what could be beneficial or limiting your AI use cases in an enterprise environment. An interactive Demo will give you some insides, what approaches I got already working for real.

3. DEVELOPMENT
The μTorrent application was originally
developed by Ludving Strigeus in 2005
for Microsoft Windows.
Size of the application was just 77 KB.
Serge Paquet on December 7
2007 developed it for Linux GUI
and MAC OS X.
Size of the application was 1.46 MB.
6. Peer to Peer
The technology used for file sharing over
the internet. Each node or computer in a
P2P network has the ability to behave as a
server as well as a client.
7. Client
The application that enables
P2P file sharing or which
provides an interface for the
same. In this case e.g.
μTorrent.
8. Torrent
The Torrent is a file which contains metadata
about all files to be shared. It contains the
address of the Tracker for all its communication
in the Swarm.
25. The numeric value inside the
parenthesis increases as the
number of downloads increase.
The current status shows that
there is only one torrent being
downloaded.
Navigation Panel
26. Preview Panel
Name of the
torrent
Actual Size of
the files
depicted in the
metadata
This panel lets you know about the
basic details of the actual data and
not the metadata.
28. Why μTorrent?
It uses P2P networking thus is a fast growing
download application.
It uses metadata by .torrent files as means
for file sharing.
It provides 5 times faster downloads than the
usual download.
Desired data is always available in torrents.
It is much secure in terms of data hiding and
network security.
Downloads can be resumed even after a
power failure.
It is a freeware available for Windows, Mac
and Linux.
29. Why not μTorrent?
In the near future, P2P networking will be
banned in some countries due to increase in
piracy.
In some cases, random generation of I.P
addresses resulted in limited connectivity of
network.
Torrents today act as good means for
promoting piracy.
Not all torrents are verified, some are fake
and some have virus.
For a torrent, if there are more leechers than
seeders you will not get fast downloads.
The application uses all the bandwidth
available for internet access.
30. CONCLUSION
μTorrent is praised for its small size and
the minimal computer resources it uses
which sets it apart from other
applications.
Would you download a software easily
available through a torrent or spend some
bucks to buy it?
The decision is entirely up to you.
µTorrent is a freeware, metadata client by BitTorrent, Inc. It is available for Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X. Both versions are written in C++. It gets the "µ" in its name from the SI prefix "micro" meaning one one-millionth. The program is designed to use minimal computer resources while offering complete functionality in its operations.
