We cover an introductions to WordPress, Wordpress dashboards, themes, how to post, and how to add media to your WordPress site. We also have set time aside each day for students to work on their typing skills.
These are minute-by-minute guides on teaching the youth. If you want to start your own Youth-Led Tech program, this is the place to start. At Smart Chicago, we are dedicated to sharing all of our methods. Not just code published to Github (though we do that, too), but whole swaths of templates, resources, and guides that help spread the practice of community technology.

Photoshop tutorials
Natalie Lam provides a summary of photoshop tutorials they attempted. They tried a liquid text effect tutorial but steps did not work correctly and the result was not as intended. They then found a youtube tutorial for a text effect that fit their cover better and worked successfully. Additional inspiration came from fantasy art tutorials, though no specific tutorials covered all aspects of their cover design, which drew from album inspiration rather than tutorials.

Jamara Royle used a range of technologies including Photoshop, cameras, and online platforms like Blogger and SlideShare to create a magazine. While Photoshop and the online platforms were initially difficult to learn, Jamara picked them up quickly. Jamara found that taking photos in class was challenging due to other students, but was able to successfully take some photos at home despite not having a tripod. Overall, Jamara learned that a single device like a smartphone could be used to complete the entire project, and gained experience with multiple technologies.
