 Setup          For rapid deployment disaster aid relief




 Place Backpack Bed™ in a dry flat safe area - open top flap, loosen drawstring and rollout.


                                                          Make an A-frame
                                                          Use built-in ropes (head and foot ends) and
                                                          secure to tree / fence / bench.



 Make a Shelter
 Open up side zip fully and tie ropes to
 secure objects. Optional - unclip and open
 out mattress cover.

 Tips
  • You may keep your shoes and belongings in the empty Backpack while you sleep.
  • You may store a blanket or extra clothes in the bedding area prior to rolling into the backpack.
  • Do not store valuables in internal lockable pocket - this is a security deterrent only.
  • Mosquitoes - unclip mosquito mesh at head end and unzip vents for mosquito protected air flow.

  Cleaning
  • Use a sponge and water to clean.
  • Do not machine wash, dry clean or tumble dry. Do not disturb tape sealed seams.

  Safety
  • Never setup a Backpack BedTM close to a campfire, open flame or where sparks, fumes or
    gas may enter the unit. Do not spray your Backpack BedTM with insecticides or other chemicals.
  • Use built-in rope supports in a safe manner - take care people do not trip or walk into them.

  Function
  • Condensation may occur on the inside of the Backpack BedTM and is not a product fault.
  • Seams - in extreme conditions some seepage may occur eg. through thread
    needle holes. For your protection main seams have been tape sealed.

  Zipper
  • If fabric is caught in the zipper, do not use force as it may break the zip or cause a hole.
    Slowly pull the zipper at the same time as pulling the fabric free.

  Optional
  • Insert tent pegs (not provided) into each corner loop.
  • Thread a locking device (not provided) through green loop (external rear corner of Backpack)
     and secure - this is a security deterrent only.

EMERGENCY AID RELIEF - BACKPACK BED
The Backpack Bed (patent pending) was specifically designed as lightweight emergency
relief. As well as providing dignified shelter and warmth, the Backpack Bed can easily be
erected to operate as a discrete sleeping module and then rolled up into a light weight
backpack that also has sufficient room for storing clothing and personal belongings.


As a shelter:
     ! 190cm long built-in insulated EVA mattress (fire retardant + anti-mildew)
      ! Waterproof (lab tested to international standard AATCC 127)
      ! Windproof (lab tested to international standard ASTM E:96)
      ! Fire retardant fabric (lab tested to international standard CPAI-84)
      ! Anti-mildew
      ! 3 mosquito mesh vents (head + foot + chest)



As a backpack:
     ! Portability with dignity - looks like a Backpack but turns into a bed
      ! Built-in storage pockets – to carry up to 20kg personal belongings inside
      ! Lockable internal pocket (with supplied key lock)
      ! Approx 2.48 kg net weight (inc mattress)
