• Rejection rate is currently only 3.9%
• 100% of ERAs are posted within 2 days

issues like no shows and clinical workflow.
“Scheduled appointments are a newer part of our practice. We realized
we had a high rate of no shows. By adding Kareo Marketing for text and
email reminders we have been able to significantly reduce those.”

- Able to focus more on improving
documentation and avoiding penalties
There is still more to do, but back office operations have improved
significantly at Today Clinic since switching to Kareo Managed Billing.

  1. So when you came on as Director they had made the switch to Kareo and they were doing the billing in house but you found that the billing was not in great shape. What were some of the issues you saw?
  2. So you suggested they outsource to a billing company but that didn’t work out well the first time either? ( move ahead to the next slide for the answers as you discuss)
  3. Kareo did a review of your billing and identified a lot of issues they could fix to improve your billing. And then made several recommendations around what they could do and what you could do?
  4. You’ve seen a lot of benefits across all the key performance indicators for your billing. (Scott can review these numbers and mention that it continues to improve)
  5. Same with patient collections, right? Your biggest source of revenue is self-pay. (again Scott can confirm and then walk through the changes they have made then move to next slide for the big number)
  6. And those changes have resulted in a 29% reduction in patient A/R (was 586K now 419K)
  7. So with Kareo handling the billing and practice getting a handle on the things they needed to change there, you were able to start looking at other problem areas to address as well. You recently added schedule appointments and found you had a lot of no shows. Scott can discuss this and talk about this being a main reason for adding Kareo Marketing.
  8. And you also found Kareo Marketing helped with online reviews.
  9. You also opted to switch from your previous EHR to Kareo clinical to make further improvements. How has that helped? Scott can talk about the improved integration and ability to focus on CMS programs and avoid penalties. This is reiterated in last slide too.
  10. So overall, you’d been able to address billing, clinical and marketing with Kareo. And you feel it can help continue to address new challenges like MACRA? Scott can talk about looking to the future with Kareo.
