This document contains formulas for calculating various 3G and 2G key performance indicators (KPIs) for different network equipment vendors. It includes formulas for calculating:
- Access blocking rates for circuit switched and packet switched connections
- Call setup success rates and handover success rates
- Radio channel accessibility and retainability rates
- GPRS/EDGE throughput and traffic volumes
- Uplink and downlink packet data establishment and completion rates
The formulas make use of raw counters collected from the network to determine the percentages or rates for each KPI. Separate formulas may be used for some KPIs by different equipment vendors.
• -How the channel concept is used on the radio interface
• -Different burst formats in the radio interface
• -The hierarchical frame structure
• -The content sent in different logical channels
• -The mapping of the logical channels
• -Superframe and Hyperframe
• -MOBILE STATIONS ISDN NUMBER (MSISDN)
• INTERNATIONAL MOBILE SUBSCRIBER IDENTITY (IMSI)
• TEMPORARY MOBILE SUBSCRIBER IDENTITY (TMSI)

A Network Selection Algorithm for supporting Drone Services in 5G Network Arc...University of Piraeus
Flying Ad-hoc Networks (FANETs) use 5G network access technologies to fulfill the requirements of their services. In this environment, Drone to Infrastructure (D2I) communication is supported, while each drone could use both Disaster Management (DM) and non-Disaster Management (nDM) services. Efficient network selection algorithms are required to satisfy the constraints of the used services, since the presence of DM services affects the importance of nDM services in situations where a natural disaster occurs. This paper proposes a network selection algorithm which is called Dynamic Trapezoidal Fuzzy Topsis with Adaptive Criteria Weights (DTFT-ACW). DTFT-ACW accomplishes the ranking of the candidate networks considering the importance of each service, as well as the weights of the corresponding selection criteria, as they are obtained with respect to the severity level of a natural disaster occurred. Interval-Valued Trapezoidal Fuzzy Numbers (IVTFN) are used for the criteria evaluation. Experimental results show that the suggested method outperforms existing algorithms by satisfying the constraints of DM services when a disaster becomes severe. Furthermore, DTFT-ACW eliminates the computational complexity of the network selection by considering past decisions.

Mathematical support for preventive maintenance periodicity optimization of r...Alexander Lyubchenko
The work is aimed to present an approach for estimation of recommended maintenance intervals of radiocommunication devices which is based on the developed Monte Carlo simulation model and the suggested optimality criterion for calculation of the rational periodicity on the basis of obtained values of reliability indexes. The model takes into account the following exploitation factors: sudden, gradual, latent and fictitious failures, human factor of service staff and time parameters of preventive maintenance. The suggested mathematical support allows providing of the high reliability of the exploited equipment.
BER ENHANCEMENT OF MIMO-CDMA BASED ON SPACE-TIME BLOCK CODEScscpconf
Now a days, the demand for wireless communication systems with high data rates and high capacity has dramatically increased. CDMA (Code Division Multiple access) plays an important role in modern wireless communication systems. MIMO refers to links with multiple antennas at the transmitter and receiver side. CDMA with MIMO is a very promising technique beyond 3G and 4G wireless communications. The BER performance of MIMO-CDMA system depends on its spreading strategy. In this paper MIMO-CDMA system is designed with STBC (Space-Time Block Code) matrices for spreading. The proposed technique outperforms the tdesign permutation spreading method and also the conventional method. Simulation results shows that gain improvement with STBC approach as compared to other existing techniques.
ATSC 3.0 NR and 5G NR Synergies new ideas Convergence Mike Simon
New Ideas on ATSC 3.0 NR and 5G NR Numerology, L1 Signaling, and Frame synergies to enable Broadcast 5G Convergence (Engineer Discussion)
Broadcast when positioned using its strengths can be complementary and economic attractive to operators in future. 5G is not a one-size fits all network but heterogeneous in nature orchestrated by interworking with 5G Core (SBA) paradigm to enable new verticals (including broadcast).
This is just a discussion of physical layer Synergies that exist.
